Phenomenal crowds in 2 Bundeliga
Some incredible attendances in the German second tier again this season.
EFL leaders Coventry City are currently attracting the biggest crowds in the Championship. Their average attendance is 29,873, which is impressive enough. However, that figure is bettered by no less than eight clubs in the German second division:
61,790 - Schalke 04
49,361 - Hertha Berlin
47,664 - Kaiserslautern
44,929 - Hannover 96
40,593 - Fortuna Dusseldorf
33,381 - Nuremburg
31,444 - Dynamo Dresden
30,968 - Karslruher
Hertha Berlin, who are sixth in the table, recently had a crowd of 70,914 for their 2-0 victory over Dynamo Dresden.
Re: Phenomenal crowds in 2 Bundeliga
That seems a low number for the championship - I guess it's just the mix of clubs that are there this season, wit hthe likes of Leeds, Sunderland etc playing premier league football.
Even so, it'd still be a long way behind the 2 bundesliga, I guess pricing is probably a factor

The fans have a better football experience over in Germany.

Bit of a generalisation, but I've enjoyed the experience at matches in Germany, even when a couple of the games were dire.

Interestingly that Coventry number is larger than 6 Bundesliga sides
Some massive clubs in 2. Bundesliga

Curiously, Hertha Berlin seem to be getting bigger crowds now than they often were in the top flight.

And larger than five Premier League clubs.
Re: Phenomenal crowds in 2 Bundeliga
Aren't their season tickets dirt cheap, and include travel, or something like that?

Significantly cheaper is a better way of putting it
The most expensive, cheapest season ticket in the Bundesliga is Dortmund at 260 euros. The cheapest is Hoffenheim at 150 Euros
Schalke in 2 Bundesliga charge 190
