£140.million.Abertillery has been waiting for a railway station for years.
Have to agree.
That frontage is lovely and they are replacing it with a brick carbuncle.
The improvements on the barrier line and beyond will hopefully improve the general feeling of the place.
If I had an ultimate wish list and funding a dramatic glass canopy over all the platforms would be a statement .
That’s the back of the station. Not the front.
As already said it's the rear of the station which is hardly anything to write home about. This is a big improvement.
The station has been "back-to-front for a few years, only pedestrians can access the front, cars have to park/drop at the back. Trust Cardiff coiuil to bugger things up.Quote:
