Liverpool fans Origi banner tonight
How stupid do you have to be to think there's not going to be consequences for this? Idiots.
Pics galore of them posing with it and putting it up as well, they won't be going to anymore Liverpool matches for the foreseeable future. Club are furious apparently.

It’s racist!
The myth that black men have bigger penises originally grew from the racist reasoning that propped up white supremacy and justified slavery in the 19th century. Black men’s oversized genitals were cited as evidence that they were “savage” and “animalistic;” outside the bounds of “normal” (read: white) sexuality and civilization. That same savage archetype — also called the “mandingo” — was summoned into the 20th century whenever white mobs wanted an excuse to lynch black men. Just claim they’re raping “our” women with their massive penises. Problem solved.

Stereotypical - Yes
Offensive - Yes (To some, hilarious to others)
Racist - No
But on your basis that stereotypes is racism, you would agree that the film White Chicks is both racist and sexist, no?

Re: Liverpool fans Origi banner tonight
The question you have to ask is, would they do a picture with a giant penis if he wasn't black?
-
Re: Liverpool fans Origi banner tonight
Back in the day Brian Moore would have a chat with him about the banner at the end of the game, have a laugh about it, and it will appear on the end credits of The Big Match

Re: Liverpool fans Origi banner tonight
Whats it supposed to represent? "The Big One"?

All humour will soon be banned.
Who is offended? Origi was probably pissing himself.
It's amazing how what is being clamped down on has changed over even the last 10 years.
I remember going to the Emirates when we played arsenal in the cup and some of our fans were chanting about adebayor, that was offensive looking back and I can't imagine hearing it again. That's good. But this is just a bit of fun isn't it? Or will in 10 years it be seen as just as bad.

Re: Liverpool fans Origi banner tonight
The fact that so many of you cannot and will not accept that this is racist is a sad indictment on society today. It makes me sad.

Football fans are thick fair play.

Re: Liverpool fans Origi banner tonight
what I don't get is if this relates to his nickname, why did they photoshop on a picture of such a modest penis?

The two scousers with tickets who went to Gent rather than Genk and had to watch the game in a pub seem to fall into that category!

Thank you for explaining it in more detail.
I remember seeing a documentary on, I believe, Channel 4 about Human Zoos where "exotic" humans were shown off from cages with part of the commentary being made that this is something that Hitler cottoned onto and potentially built into his dehumanisation of certain groups of people. While it's simple to say that every man would like to be thought of as having a large penis, if a group of people become dehumanised then it, both historically and currently, leads to really destructive thought processes/actions becoming normalised.

Careful with that, you'll be accused of being soft, offended on behalf of somebody else by all of the free thinkers on here.
