  • FT: CARDIFF CITY 1 - 1 ROTHERHAM UTD. Rotherham relegated

    Saturday 8th May, ko 12:30pm

    Match Officials:

    Referee: GRAHAM SCOTT
Assistants: Mark Scholes and Ian Cooper
    Fourth Official : Stephen Martin

Rotherham have to win, and hope that Derby don't win.

Only one of three teams can stay up. As it stands Derby can save themselves. The others are hoping Derby don't win. Sheff Weds can stop that as they play Derby at Pride Park.

Derby will stay up if they win.
Derby will also stay up if they draw and Rotherham don't win.
Rotherham will stay up if they win and Derby don't.
Sheff Weds will stay up if they win and Rotherham don't win.

Sheff Weds could win and still be relegated if Rotherham win at CCS.

It looks as if three of the most likeable managers in the Championship will be relegated on Saturday afternoon.

I expect the snow dodgers (as my football-hating partner calls them) will escape!

Someone called Tomlin on the bench. Who he?

Cardiff City XI: Phillips; Pack, Flint, Nelson; Ng, Bacuna, Ralls, Brown; Wilson, Colwill, Moore.

Subs: Smithies, Bamba, Bowen, Williams, Evans, Tomlin, Ojo, Murphy, Harris.

Good to see Sol on the bench. Question is....will Tomlin stay on the bench without nipping out to KFC?

Good to see Phillips in goal, Pack at CB, Ralls at CM and Colwill starting. Will Bamba come on in injury time or will we be clear with 20 minutes to go and Mick shocks the world by using maximum quota of subs?

Always want City to win regardless, but I don't fancy relegating Rotherham.

They are a small club, and it isn't disparaging to say that but the fans truly love the club.

Plenty of time and space given to Wing there.
