Notts County. Nottingham Forest.
No one ever calls them "Notts Forest" ffs!
Seems they have ambition to give it a good go next year and it shows they have faith in the manager.
BTW, whether referring to them as "Notts Forest" is right or wrong, I have definitely heard them called that before.
I am aware of their proper name , however , I’ve called them Notts , Nottingham Forest and Forest since 1979, and so have plenty of others I know. The pedants clearly have the hump with this :hehe:
Even modern day pundits like Jamie Carragher call them Notts Forest
they've got 5 key players on loan last season that will need replacing or re-signing first, that will chew through half of that £100m potentially
There's no crime or shame in calling them Notts Forest. But it's Notts County. Nottingham Forest. The abbreviated "Notts" County is the actual name of the club.
People generally call them Notts Forest only to wind them up…. Or to provide some variation from the popular and timeless ‘Scabs’!
Nottingham County
Nottingham was originally called Snotingham, the nomenclature relating to a chieftain called Snot.
Good on them for going for it.
50m from the sale of Brennan Johnson
Fulham spent 125 million the other year..straight back down
I often think of Forest as a poorly run club throwing money about left, right and centre, but I forget that consistently producing players whose sale goes a long way towards covering such expenditure from your category 2 Academy does make a huge difference to a club.
Probably not going to be enough.
A £100m transfer spend equals an equally huge increase in wages - the general assumption must be the higher the transfer fee, the higher the wage demanded. Surviving the 1st season would certainly add at least £100m to the value of the club, but it's a massive gamble.
Djed Spence, Philip Zinckernagel, James Garner and Max Lowe all need to be replaced as they were on loan, just to stay as good as they were this season.
Forest fans hate being called Notts Forest, but that doesn't mean you shouldn't 😁
On their transfer kitty, I wonder how Cooper will cope with having money to spend.
Rodon is being linked fairly heavily with them, probably due to the Cooper connection.
Could be a good shout on loan. Any Wales player not playing regularly needs to be forcing a move this summer.
They. Want a good goalie not a Championship one
Yes, it is Nottingham Forest. However, here are some facts: -
Nottingham Forest play at the City Ground, which is in the County.
