Reports saying that it’s been a fixed match at 1-0 Qatar with goal in the second half
Surely not with the world watching

Ecuador sound a decent team, qualifying in that group isn’t easy. A young vibrant team. I’m hoping for 8-0

I'm hoping Qatar get stuffed, but Equador will need to score twice to overcome Qatar's penalty.

Think this tournament is going to be a major PR disaster for Qatar.
Myself...won't be watching much.....enjoying Bristol Rovers v Peterborough....decent game.

Will probably still watch most games, but not this one, or any other Qatari games.

I hope they get stuffed and it’s in a lifeless stadium with thousands of empty seats. Anything that adds to the long list of embarrassing headlines coming out of Qatar in the last few days will suit me fine.

Re: QATAR v ECUADOR. Match thread. 20th Nov - 4pm

What a joke of a decision. Keeper punches it, ball goes up the air and maybe he’s a fraction offside but never enough to overturn it.

I think the on-screen graphic said offside which is clearly bollocks having seen a replay. I thought they'd claim high boot

The Qatari manager has praised his team’s resilience and strength of character in next weeks 3-1 win.

Re: QATAR v ECUADOR. Match thread. 20th Nov - 4pm

Think it might have been when the keeper was in front of the ball, so there needed to be two defenders behind the last attacker. It looked level to me mind.
Just to say, Dion Dublin’s a hopeless summariser.

The Qatari manager added that he was very surprised to reach the final.

But the ball wasn’t played by an Ecuador player forward at that stage either way. He was well onside when the ball ended up coming in.

The 'replay' picked out two players who were in front of 3 Qatar players when the free kick was taken. If no-one questions that we're all f****d,

Re: QATAR v ECUADOR. Match thread. 20th Nov - 4pm

They showed the feed from the technology on US TV and they said #11 who never played the ball was offside when the keeper punched it and maybe it glanced off one of his teammates. Incredibly dodgy decision.

Re: QATAR v ECUADOR. Match thread. 20th Nov - 4pm

I wonder what are the odds on an Ecuador player getting sent off.
Edit:
What a header! 👏 👏
