it is indeed but winning away at Preston was a proper test too !
as the old cliche goes there's no easy games in this league

West Brom looked good beating Ipswich the other nigh. Wallace will be a handful on the left.
We are good enough together something from a tough game, even with a couple of enforced changes.
City 1-0

Having gained a win at Preston, a draw wouldn’t be a bad result.

massive game tonight, if we can win this then it could be some real momentum.
they're a good side and in some form so it will be tough, especially with the missing players

We've no right to be where we are due to our and expert predictions. So a 4-0 drubbing at home is to be expected.

A big ask tonight but if we want to be pushing up the league we can’t be afraid and need to win these kind of home games. Suspension and injuries unfortunate. Will be an interesting line up, I think Wintle’s assist and Ugbos goal might mean they come in for Collins and Grant and Panzo comes in at CB assuming McGuiness is out.

Bulut was hopeful McGuinness would be okay for tonight straight after the game on Saturday, not seen or heard anything about it since then though.

Interesting, would make it easier to just chuck Panzo at left back.

I don't think we've been turned over at home since our PL days. Paradoxically, the better teams will come at us more leaving a bit of space up front. So long as our midfield turns up it could be an entertaining contest..

The 4-0 battering by Swansea? West Brom have beaten us 4-0 as well in the last couple of seasons

Tanner doesn’t surprise me. Thought he might have played Panzo at left back instead of moving NG.

Re: CARDIFF CITY v WEST BROMWICH ALBION. Match thread

McGuiness continues to exaggerate his leg movement every time he passes the ball 10 yards, like he half believes he's Beckenbauer.
It looks elegant on a world class player but not on a championship plodder.

		Cardiff 0-0 West Brom
West Brom almost take the lead at the Cardiff City Stadium, snatching the ball and breaking on the counter with pace.
Josh Bowler ends up bursting into the box but Bluebirds keeper Alex Palmer makes a really good save to keep his effort out.
Outstanding post on the bbc website

Re: CARDIFF CITY v WEST BROMWICH ALBION. Match thread

Bowler did all the hard work, just needed a bit more luck and composure… to be fair if he was a great finisher he’d be starting for Forest rather than being sent out on loan every season.

Re: CARDIFF CITY v WEST BROMWICH ALBION. Match thread

Apart from WBA hitting the post and the good Bowler it's been a pretty boring first half....
@City123......me neither...almost cost a goal with this obsession that a team must play out from the back.

No confidence in runnerson at all. Why change a confident keeper to a liability?

Re: CARDIFF CITY v WEST BROMWICH ALBION. Match thread

Missing Ng’s attacking ability on the right IMO.
I think I would rather Panzo play left back, rather than have both sides disrupted.

It has been boring. Neither side good enough to beat the press, although West Brom look more likely to do so- City have resorted to lofting the ball towards Meite which has been ineffective. Tanner needs to get into the game more.
I hope we're not reverting into a Warnock team- hard working, pretty solid defensively but relying on other teams errors or set pieces to score goals- very little threat from open play so far.

Tanner needs to impose himself, he hasn't had much to play with, but when he has he;s been piss weak.

He’s not doing anything wrong I just feel he’s so slow on the ball. He takes an extra half second compared to most and someone just to speed up the midfield would be a positive and that’s coming from someone who isn’t a Colwill fan.

Anyone else think Runarsson had a clear sight of that and is in the category 'might have done better'?
