Gotta be Ramsey for me . Those 45 seconds he played this season were glorious

Re: Player of the Year so Far
Callum O Dowda for me as well.
-
Re: Player of the Year so Far
I can’t think of anyone else it could be. ODowda for me.
-
Re: Player of the Year so Far
Prior to Saturday I would have said Alnwick.
So probably O Dowda.
-
Re: Player of the Year so Far
O Dowda. He's had more 7 out of 10 performances than the rest.

Just a shame about the other 359 minutes.

Yeah, but bear in mind that he's been great for the likes of Colwill, Davies, Bagan etc and the kids, don't forget the kids....
-
Re: Player of the Year so Far
Quite a few on here are saying O Dowda.
How many games has he played so far this season?
-
Re: Player of the Year so Far
Player of the season? Is this a piss-take?
If anyone, it has to be Erol Bulut. He played the fans and the board like a fiddle.

A few said we didn't miss him last year when injured, of course they know nothing about football just how to be negative. Yep O'Dowda was a big loss last year and is one of the best players this season.

Re: Player of the Year so Far
It speaks volumes when the guy many seem to think has been our best player so far this season has one goal and one assist to his name.
The Irish Messi - ripping up the Championship once more.

From previous posts about the player, it's obvious you're not a fan.
Now, given that even in a relegation season a club will have a Player of the Year award, who would you choose at this stage?

Yup, That's where we are at. O Dowda hasn't even been that good. I've said for ages that standards are incredibly low amongst fans.

More productive in 45 seconds than Kanga in 45 hours

Doubt it.

Re: Player of the Year so Far
O'Dowda has been consistent. At times Robinson, Robertson and Colwill have looked good at times, but no one really stands out.

Same here. For more than a few of our games recently O’Dowda and Alnwick have been the only two who have looked close to solid Championship level. Very damning indictment of where we are as a team.

Re: Player of the Year so Far
I assume this means from 1st Jan
If so some of the defenders including Nat Phillips and NG could be considered.
Not exactly anyone earning it though

Its been a woeful season, think that’s obvious, standards are very low
So who is yours?

I’m not sure that’s what he means but Jeezz how many goals did we concede from Jan to the end of last season. Phillips and NG part of a terrible defensive record.

Nobody. Not one of them deserves any kind of an award. None of them would get my vote. I’d abstain.

Fair enough.
It would make for a somewhat awkward Player of the Year awards evening if everyone abstained. :hehe:
-
Re: Player of the Year so Far
The lack of other candidates being mentioned is so revealing, think Alex Robertson deserves to be though and, a month ago, I would have considered Colwill, Bagan appears to have progressed this season even though Riza doesn’t seem to be convinced by him.
-
Re: Player of the Year so Far
There’s a fair chance there’ll be a manager of the season award.
-
Re: Player of the Year so Far
It's a low bar, but I'd give it to Robertson. Think overall he has impressed me the most, if that's the right word. I do believe he has ability that will see him move on for decent money.
O'Dowda best of the rest, a far better fake full back than winger though, needs that space ahead of him even if defensively he isn't suited.
And that's where we are, god knows who will get the awards at the end of the season.
Merry Christmas

Re: Player of the Year so Far
There's not a lot to choose from, to be honest. At the moment, it's either Robinson or Robertson. Take your pick.
