Was playing that in the car the other evening.
Had to turn it down a notch as I turned into our street.

Re: Songs that teach as well
Whatever that song about LS Lowry by Brian and Michael was called. On the same theme, Vincent by Don McLean and I suppose American Pie was something you could learn from if you knew what the lyrics meant.
No more Heroes?

We hit them with bricks and sticks and bottles and baseball bats
We kick them in the bollocks and we nick their scarves and hats
We're always drunk away, and we like to cause affray
Cos we're the Cardiff city boot boys, we travel in a van/coach/train...

So what did you learn from "Seconds"? The lyrics are a bit vague. There's no who, where, or when. All you can gather is that someone took seconds to take someone else's life after waiting a while. It's not even factually accurate. There were 3 shots heard around the world.

Is it not important to be pedantic when it comes to learning?

Re: Songs that teach as well
Someone mentioned "the band played waltzing Matilda" earlier which is one of my very favourite songs, and a great shout
Another absolute favourite is "The town I loved so well" which is about growing up in Derry and refers to the troubles.
https://m.youtube.com/watch?v=hybUj9...ZlZCBzbyB3ZWxs
In a similar vein, a great ode to Dublin that tells the story of a changing city that many Cardiffians may also identify with:
"In the rare old times" by the Dubliners
https://m.youtube.com/watch?v=ZTYkby...Ugb2xkIHRpbWVz
Another is "Sam Hall", about an old Highway thief.
Brilliant song, this version also by the Dubliners

Finally, "where were you when the world stopped turning" by Alan Jackson who is a country singer I love. I don't actually like this song that much but it's all about 9/11
