Any idea how many we’ve sold? Might be outnumbered…

Re: CARDIFF CITY v SWINDON TOWN. Match thread
Don't usually go to these matches, but thought it would be quite enlightening to see our new young guns up against a Holloway team!
Arrived at the ticket office 5 minutes after the tickets went on sale.
What area would you like to sit in Sir?
I'll sit in my normal seat please, its already been sold Sir. Walked out, SKY+ it is then.
I'm getting very temperamental in my impending dotage 😎
-
Re: CARDIFF CITY v SWINDON TOWN. Match thread
so what are we thinking - assuming Ng and Robertson aren't back yet, something like
Turner
Kpakio fish Daland Mafico
king Turnbull
nyakuhwa Colwill Davies
Robinson

what exactly upset you? that they didn't keep it for you in case you decided to go? :hehe:

Re: CARDIFF CITY v SWINDON TOWN. Match thread
There's not much of the ground open. 1/2 canton and couple of blocks in the grandstand

Re: CARDIFF CITY v SWINDON TOWN. Match thread
They used to, in the days when we were managed by football people, hold everyones seat for 24/48 hours before releasing them for general sale.
Five minutes? their avin a larf, but not my money!

How do I get my season ticket seat when they haven’t even opened the stand where I sit? It’s first come first serve and it’s been this way for this cup competition for years.

Colwill's played both full games, I imagine he'll be rested. Same for Kpakio, Spiers may get a go

I suppose it depends how seriously BBM wants to take it, we could stick David Turnbull or Joel Colwill in there or we could see someone like George or Perrett from the youth side

alternatively, it might be an opportunity to try a 3-5-2

I hope so, we have 7 games this month a not even enough players for 2 full teams. Availability for league games is far more important

Re: CARDIFF CITY v SWINDON TOWN. Match thread
According to the Swindon Advertiser:
"Swindon have lost their last ten Carabao Cup first-round ties
Cardiff have not lost to Town since 1995"
Oh dear

We've only played against each other 4 times since 1995, which was an FA cup game that i attended, and it was a bit tasty before and after, i drove up on my own and was attacked by this group of clowns while walking past a pub.

Maybe swap Colwill for Ashford and have Ashford wide, Davies up front, and Robinson at 10.

Re: CARDIFF CITY v SWINDON TOWN. Match thread
Swindon have sold just over 1,700 tickets now. Great following from them.
-
Re: CARDIFF CITY v SWINDON TOWN. Match thread
It'll be a fun night, seeing Swindon beat us.
Looking 4ward to Rotherham already.

We’re a football club. We play football. Just get the game won and show some pride in what they are supposed to be engaged in.
-
Re: CARDIFF CITY v SWINDON TOWN. Match thread
Straight to pens tonight.
If we can hold on for a draw.

Re: CARDIFF CITY v SWINDON TOWN. Match thread
I usually give these games a miss, but it's a nice evening so thought I'd buy a ticket online. It won't let me buy anything in the Ninian Stand however - just 2 sections in Grandstand and 3 sections in Canton End. Wondering why this is ????
-
Re: CARDIFF CITY v SWINDON TOWN. Match thread
We haven't lost to Swinedon for over a million years.

Because hardly anyone is going so they only open a bit of the stadium...or maybe every where else is sold out, it's going to be a huge crowd and that is all that's left.

Because we’ve got a 33,000 seater stadium and will probably get a crowd of 5,000.
Even with 20% of the ground open, it’ll be sparse enough you could lie down across a few seats and have a kip in the sun if the game gets too dull.

Except the seats that are available will be in the shade...they should have opened the Ninian

Right, so the Ninian isn't open. That explains it !

Maybe the Ninian is sold out because of the good weather…

Re: CARDIFF CITY v SWINDON TOWN. Match thread
Strong team. They seem to be announced earlier too.
Trott, Kpakio, Fish, Chambers, Bagan, Wintle, Turnbull, Colwill R, Ashford, Davies, Robinson.

Re: CARDIFF CITY v SWINDON TOWN. Match thread
I'm surprised with how strong a line up that is. Perhaps he feels the players need games together to get up to speed with how he wants them to play
