Probably the best draw we could have got.
Chelsea have been hot and cold for a good while now.
If we play as well as we can, we have a squeak .

We've little chance, but a home draw all important. Big crowd, possibly sell out, on tv, so plenty of dosh for the coffers.
Even in defeat a good performance will do wonders for moral.
Pity 2 players already riled out, Kpakio and Kellyman.

No easy draws but Chelsea is one of the better ones. And a home draw too so can’t complain after the last 2 rounds.

How can people be a 'lifelong' fan?
Did they pop out on day 1 and declare their love for a particular team?

Packed house at the CCS for this one plus this will be on the box for those that can't go.
Ideal draw. Chelsea are very erratic at the moment

Five wins from their last six games. I wish we were that erratic. :hehe:

Fulham at home would have been the best draw from a form perspective, but Chelsea's a far more attractive tie.

We'll have games on the exact same dates if we win our cup game at Peterborough on Saturday (and maybe even if we don't).

Kpakio out for a booking, but wasn't Bagan booked as well? Or is it two yellows for a ban?

 It's a curious business.

Yellow cards are competition-specific. Two yellow cards in the competition means a suspension, although they are wiped after the quarter finals.

Red cards are not competition-specific. The suspensions for those apply to the next domestic matches.

Kpakio was booked against Wrexham (his second booking in the competition), so he will be suspended for the quarter final.

Curcurella was booked against Wolves (his second booking in the competition), so he will be suspended for the quarter final.

But Delap will apparently be able to play in the quarter final despite being sent off against Wolves.

Re: CARDIFF v CHELSEA. Carabao Cup 1/4 final
We've played Chelsea three times in the League Cup:

 Cardiff 1-0 Chelsea (27/08/1980)
 Chelsea 1-1 Cardiff (03/09/1980)
 Cardiff 2-1 Chelsea (28/10/1986)

A Nicky Platnauer double in the third game. We were in the Fourth Division, Chelsea were in the top flight. That was a great night (although chaotic in and around the ground).

Haha that was my first though too. A load of sad acts with Wellerman haircuts and ali express stone island thinking they're tough.

Feels like it could be a really special night - we haven't had one of those for a few years.

Be kind - it might be a top up to people's pension when they write a new chapter for their republished hoolie diaries

I can see the entries now

We chased them 10 yards before we needed gas and air

There were four of us and 6 of them (all that's alive now) and we stood Zimmer frame to Zimmer frame for a good 4 minutes and fair play no one took a step back

2 yellows feels a little harsh considering EFL clubs will play 1 or 2 ganes more than PL
