I wouldn't usually accommodate having two playmakers in one side but Taylor has the benefit of being left-footed so I will sign them both and see how we get on. Taylor will be the eventual replacement for Joe Ralls. And I've always liked Levitt from the few real-life games I have seen of him, we haven't got anyone with that range of passing though he does go missing sometimes. Plus they're both Welsh of course.
Don't disagree with your assessment other than I'm not sure Taylor is left footed. His highlight reels show him taking all his set pieces (which he is very good at) right footed.
He'd have to be a step up on Rinhomota or Sawyers. Although, I'm not sure we can sign him as compensation (a transfer fee) being due. He's under 24, but someone on this forum has suggested that as he wasn't 'produced' by Burton compensation wouldn't be due. Nevertheless there is an article from yesterday which suggests Plymouth have made an offer, which has been rejected, which contradicts the last point.

Re: Transfer Rumours | Summer 2023
Our neighbours to the west have supposedly won the race to sign Ellis Simms permanently. Must be costing them quite a bit as he's been linked to other clubs for £4-7m.

Confirmation that there is another form of compensation which applies to players twenty four or under from lower divisions who turn down a contract offer from their parent club

Seems fair enough to me, but it's a blow to City because that was a market I was hoping we could exploit.

Certainly not the kind of exciting signing that sells thousands of season tickets that was teased.
I know I'm not being fair, but two goals in twenty four games in Ligue 2 last season doesn't look great - would he be any better than Etete who was showing definite signs of progress towards the end of last season?

Glen Williams saying on twitter there's another signing "not too far away" that hasn't been mentioned anywhere yet.
It's all kicking off now!

I’m with you Paul. Firstly we need quality replacements for Kaba, Philogene & Kipre, Whyte & now Harris. I wait in hope.

Nine starts and no goals for Hertha Berlin last season, who finished rock bottom of the Bundesliga and were truly terrible. It’s doubtful he’s way too good for the Championship on that evidence. He seemed to be doing better in the Russian league though.

Re: Transfer Rumours | Summer 2023
These are all rumours of course but these rumoured players look like huge gambles. Ugbo doesnt seem to have done much anywhere. We really need quality and not quantity. Lets hope theyve done their homework.

Not just any ordinary Russia though. CSKA Moscow. They signed him for 12 million thereabouts. Hopefully he's not a Josh Murphy! I do wonder, can he actually pass and cross the ball?
He's also played for Heerenveen and Vålerenga, another two teams (alongside Hertha Berlin and CSKA Moscow) that are better than us.

Rabbi Matondo is available.
Anyone fancy him rejoining us?

Re: Transfer Rumours | Summer 2023
Looking like Ike Ugbo on loan from Troyes will be the first through the door. Seems the least exciting out of the recently linked Ramsey, Ejuke, and Goutas but anything that makes Jamilu Collins even happier has to be a good thing.

Troyes were in Ligue 1. He got 5 in 14 the season before. We also need to replace Kaba and someone to push Etete. He’s raw but worth a look. He’s absolutely rapid, too.

Helps that Glen is a big City fan. I think they know more than they’re letting on, too.

Twitter is a shitshow tonight so can't open the link.
If this doesn't go ahead then there's been a big change since Thursday evening where everything was pretty much done.

Re: Transfer Rumours | Summer 2023
Today's the day (surely) we announce our first signing under Bulut. Who will it be? Who do you want it to be?
Iké Ugbo?
Dimitrios Goutas?
Chidera Ejuke?
Someone that hasn't even been linked?
