I've no idea which moron at ccfc thought we needed a GK when the whole side is a joke even at L1 standard. We aint going up after that performance that's for sure

I'm not sure I'd say really good, we looked promising going forward, soft and shaky at the back. You could see something he was trying to build and how we might get there. Tonight was the worst of last season all over again, could have played for a week and not threatened to score.

I think Peterborough were an ideal 1st opponent. Young side not very physical. Their only real physical player gave us issues.
I think any physical side will give us issues.
The 2 outfield changes made us worse as well.
Tanner had a complete and utter mare today which didn't help.
Unless this idiotic board back the manager we will struggle.

I find the signing of a new GK quite strange. Hardly a priority, surely?

God, I'm having second thoughts about this manager already. Gets a keeper as 1st priority, gives captaincy to Chambers, tells everybody how he's impressed by the squad, and thinks he's Pep Guardiola, getting City's midfield to pass the ball back through to defence from an attacking position. No, he must be good, we surely haven't got another dud.

Re: FT: PORT VALE 0 - 0 CARDIFF CITY. Match thread
Joel Colwill was the best player for Cardiff by a country mile. Everyone else was mediocre at best.

ahhh come on now and behave....we are top of the league after 2 matches. Tan is grinning like a Cheshire cat spending almost no money at all

Re: FT: PORT VALE 0 - 0 CARDIFF CITY. Match thread
What I find really frustrating is how often we pass it around at the back, get pressured then end up just lumping it, may as well do that first as last,it was poor,no getting away from it and Tanner was shocking, never once attempted to commit his full back and as has been said, his crossing was dire but please, let’s not get in the depths of despair after tonight.

They were playing a few Tom Jones songs at full time, and I know stokes song is Delilah. What is it with our Tom in that part of the world ?

Not sure about that. I like him as a player but he was subbed off.
No one stood out :-(

That Si who did the podcast about the Walt Disney takeover also mentioned Willock was nailed on to leave - one rumour I wish was true

Peterborough were a bit stand offish and let us play. We should have buried them but they could have easily nicked a point. Tonight I fear will be the first of many. We won’t get an easy ride from anyone away from home and as last season proved we are found wanting against anyone who will put in a shift.

Re: FT: PORT VALE 0 - 0 CARDIFF CITY. Match thread
Some of the overreactions to a 0-0 draw on this thread are almost as extreme as the overreactions to Saturday’s victory. But not quite.

Horvath wants to go, Alnwick isn't very good. Trott was fine, no? I don't see what he did wrong tonight

After tonight’s ineptitude, setting fire to CCS would not be regarded as OTT.
