Isn't that as much to do with the confidence in England from the betting public after the summer so far? Some hefty run chases and test wins that looked improbable.

Simon Doull and Dominic Cork on Sky excoriating on the farce that is Welsh Fire. No Welsh or Glamorgan identity, stupid selection decisions, inept coaching, players taking the money but no interest in the team and laughable batting / bowling stats.
No idea who’s in charge but The Hundred needs to take action because the people involved in this franchise are taking the p*ss.
Cork saying he’d be embarrassed to be playing for or coaching a team with such poor figures as the Fire (the captain Cobb has played every game and is averaging four with the bat!}.
Doull and Cork’s squad had Carlson, Douthwaite and Sisodiya in it and they said they’d try to persuade Hogan to come back. At the start of this tournament, some were saying Glamorgan had no one good enough to get in the Welsh Fire team, - after seven losses and an eighth seemingly on the way, do they still believe that?
Rightly so. I think the Welsh/Glamorgan link is the least of the problems with this team, it’d be the same if they were based somewhere else in England. The performances have definitely been taking the proverbial and the coaching/playing side of things needs a shake up. On course not only to finish last but way adrift of 7th even.
if any one interested the asia cup cricket is on utsav gold channel 717 on sky
The welsh fire have huge problems. For that reason I think mark Wallace and Matt Maynard should focus on them full time , try to turn them around. They'll never achieve it, but it will keep the 2 losers well away from glammy which would be absolutely fantastic for us

Four day stuff again now with a 10.30 start this morning. The forecast is poor for the next four days so it might turn into a battle for bonus points. Worcester are batting after winning the toss.
Sam Northeast has just been awarded his county cap, a bit belatedly I’d say.
Bit disappointing to see James Harris in the side, he's not been good at all this year. Hopefully his form has improved a bit
First bonus point for Glamorgan, Worcestershire 73-3 with a couple of wickets for Van Der Gugten.
Derbyshire and Notts not doing great so far either. Decent morning for Glamorgan.
114-4, another wicket for Van Der Gugten.
Been a disappointing morning so far really needed to knock a few over early today
Very disappointing !
In better news, Marnus Labushagne signed on for 2 more years.
103/2 with three overs left today. We don't want to lose another tonight
Derbyshire getting on top against Durham - the forecast is fifty/fifty for showers over the next two days, so it looks like a question of trying to get batting points while making sure there’s not a collapse which could lead to a defeat.
146/4 Not great. Northeast gone
Make that 5, Carlson out for a duck.
Hopefully we will have a couple of hours play this afternoon and can start picking up some batting bonus points
189/6 Root out for a very scratchy 15. This has been a poor performance to date. The rain will probably save us so we should get at least ten points but we really could do with some batting points
Collapse for Leicester again earlier to all but hand notts victory. Followed by a 13 over last wicket partnership until the rain came. Nottingham forecast is horrible aswell so we could be in for an extraordinarily luckily result there.
Hopefully the rain will save us. Dismal stuff
All out 5 short of another batting point and 9 short of avoiding the following on!
Raining again now though.
We will get a draw and 12 points so will move about Middlesex but Derbyshire will overtake us if they beat Durham
I did feel Michael Hogan could have made an effort to defend today as Cooke was in good nick and another batting bonus point would have been good
abandoned for a draw looks like 12pts
Maynard, rightly I reckon, saysGlamorgan have to be better in the last three games than they were in this one.
Covers coming off at Derby with five wickets for them to get, but the caption on the screen is saying there’s still forty five ops left - light doesn’t seem great mind.
The 45 overs left at Derbyshire was when they came off two hours ago. The umpires have yet to inspect so I doubt play will start until around 5:30pm if they do get back on. Doubt Durham would have to face more than 15 overs
