But god is all powerful and omnipresent according to Christians
So either he is omnipresent and all powerful but let's poor little kids die young from awful diseases ......so he's a right git as he could stop this
Or he's not all powerful and he isn't omnipresent and doesn't actually exist

Ok, at last you are engaging the issue head on.
Yes the God that you propose could stop whatever He chose to, however God has many attributes, and He cannot switch them on and off just to accommodate us. That's called making a god in our image (or to our requirements).
Let's just look at 2 of his attributes. God is Love, He is also Just.
So God is love he wants to connect with us, however as you know from your dealings with people, love MUST include choice, including the choice to walk away and reject someone. If God had programmed us to simply obey his every whim, that would not be love, that would just make us drones.
Mankind made his choice and rebelled against God - God warned man of the consequences (death, disease, disaster) yet like most people on this board, man decided he knew better and went his own way. Now man is unhappy with the result of his choice; and ALSO rejects God's rescue plan found in the person of Jesus, deciding just to have 'Jesus' as his favourite swear word instead!
Romans 6:23 - "For the wages of sin is death, but the gift of God is eternal life in Christ Jesus our Lord"

But I didn't suggest that God is all powerful and always around ......believers did
What you are doing is letting God off for not saving children with Cancer
Surely if he's what it says in your holy book .......and what the clergy tell us ......all powerful and omni present .....then either he's not doing what his followers claim he can and that's mean .......or he doesn't exist in the first place

So because man however long ago rejected god then kids today are not saved from cancer or abuse because God them that this was what was going to happen ?
Kids in 2021 are punished for the sin of their ancestors turning their back on God?
I think that's mean don't you ?

He'll just quote some loophole from a book that will make God look like he's all love. Pointless

It's fine though because apparently we can all ask for our past sins to be forgiven. (I guess thats how the historical child abusers in the Catholic church can still get to heaven).
My non-verbal daughter cant do that though so must be doomed.
Re: Latest British Social Survey finds 52% of the Country are non Religious
This is what I don't understand
Some kid walks after 15 years in a wheelchair ........its a miracle , we prayed for her 🙏
Adolf Hitler murders Jews, gay people , disabled people .......oh they are being punished for man's past sins !
Well God is a wanker then , isn't he !?

No, they don't get to heaven.........because religion and a lifestyle that doesn't reflect Christ is a falehood:
Heaven is for those who realised they are sinful and begged God to forgive them, yet for the rest including child abusers, they don't actually make it:-
Revelation 22:15 "Outside are the dogs, those who practice magic arts, the sexually immoral, the murderers, the idolaters and everyone who loves and practices falsehood".

Murderers? Wasn't one of the Egyptian plagues when god murdered all the first born sons, of the Pharaoh down to the slaves?
Exodus

No, they were killed, like many Germans & British were 70-80 years ago, and that wasn't murder either.
Context is everything.

Why did the slaves need to die?
Re: Latest British Social Survey finds 52% of the Country are non Religious
Let me rephrase that.
Why did babies born to slaves need to die? What's the context there?

If you'd like to quote the particular passage I will address it (the Bible has many similar episodes) - many thanks.
Re: Latest British Social Survey finds 52% of the Country are non Religious
The Egyptian plagues in Exodus, as I said above.

So you are going from memory and not from the Bible?
If you are going to attack something then have the decency to bring the document with you!
Chapter and verse.....
