What an equaliser, this Ramsey kid could go far
Nice finish from Simic
1-1, lovely ball by Ramsey puts Simic, who’d barely had a kick before then, through and he finishes very nicely.
Somehow, it’s 2-1 to Evertonwho were being completely outplayed after the equaliser, shot from the edge of the edge of the area deflected in.
2-2, Pearce from another great pass, this time by Nyakhuwa.
Within minutes, another sub, Isaac Jeffries, puts us ahead.
Great performance that. Superb through ball from Ramsey and then the finish from Simic. And then the two really good goals by the subs.
Finished 3-2 and City qualify as group winners. Well deserved win in an entertaining game where the team defied their poor recent form - if I had to pick a man of the match, I think I’d go for Nyakhuwa.
A good win for the u-18s too, they came back from two down at half time to win 4-3 at Charlton. Ola (2), Rees and Barton with the goals. I've only just got home from work so I haven't caught up with the first team yet, I bet they've spoiled everything by only getting a draw in their game.

Old boy Keenan Patten ha joined Newport from Barry Town
Nice to see the Welsh leagues are a bit of a pathway back into the EFL now
Macauley Southam-Hales is still going well at Stockport after being at Barry too, despite a serious injury a while back. Hard working and energetic but I never saw him as a League One player. That's where he is though while Spence is at Hednesford, O'Sullivan at Brackley, Wharton at Llanelli, Coxe on loan at Salisbury etc etc. I'd be a rubbish scout.
Wales u21s have been drawn alongside Austria, Belgium, Denmark & Belarus in their qualifiers for the 2027 Euros.
Tough group, will likely be a very new-look u21s for these qualifiers with a lot of the last batch too old. We may see a fair bit of Cardiff representation in this campaign as the impressive u19s (Crew, Biancheri, Giles etc) progress through the age groups
No Lawlor, Giles, Simic (or Ramsey!) for the u21s this lunchtime
No return for Isaak Davies either
1-0 to Millwall at half time.
2 - 0 to Millwall full time
3-1 win for the u18s against Colchester. Ola, Jake Davies and Donczew on the scoresheet.

The under-21s play Swansea at home tomorrow, 14.00 kick off.
Guessing Giles is with the firsts tonight then?
City score after two minutes - Nyakhuwa header from a Jefferies cross.
1-1, City been really careless since they scored.
1-1 at half time. A few signs of life from City late in the half, but the general standard of play is not a patch on what we were seeing pre Christmas - Lawlor’s having a good game though.
Great finish by Nyakhuwa puts City ahead - lovely ball from the back by Lawlor.
2 - 1 win. Well deserved.
Better second half from both sides. Swansea will feel they didn’t deserve to lose, but the quality of the winning goal just about meant our win was a deserved one I thought. Really good save by Armstrong to tip a cross shot on to the bar, Lawlor was excellent, he has very good feet for a big lad, as well as an ability to pick a pass which may be better than any of the centrebacks in the senior squad. Nyakhuwa took his goals well and Spiers had a strong game at right back.
It’s four points out of six against the jacks for the senior side, a double for the under 21s, one win from one for the under 18s and under 16s and a win and a loss for the women’s team - must be our most dominant season against them in ages up to now.
Today’s first goal.

Highlights from yesterday here. I made a jokey comment after the Reading pre-season friendly that no one at the club can hit a long pass like Lawlor can. It's something that stood out the couple of times I'd seen him, just effortlessly picking people out from miles away as though it was nothing. Maybe I wasn't that far out, seems quite a gift he's got there.

The under-18s lost 4-2 at Brentford today, another goal for Rob Tankiewicz though. Alyas Debono with the other.
