Re: The Donald Trump thread
I must admit, I missed the announcement that private citizens in the US are immune from the law.

What law were you, or Devon Nunes take your pick, talking about?

No laws were broken (at least not by Trump). If you cast your mind back, it was a British business acquaintance of Trump who set up the Trump Tower meeting, and I seem to recall that he worked in the entertainment business and was managing a Russian singer. It also wasn't disclosed to the Trump team that the Russian woman who attended the meeting was granted special entry to the United States at the request of the Justice Department, as her visa application had been denied. So we have gone from a supposed friend doing a mate a favour, to the involment of Obama's justice department.

All very interesting. I have no idea what this has to do with your assertion that that there are certain laws from which private citizens can get immunity though matey!

You'd have to ask lardy who thinks somebody has broken a law.
Re: The Donald Trump thread
lardy, isn't it time to put the Trump Russia Collusion thing to bed now, and admit that you have been duped by your favourite news media outlets?
So what's next on your agenda? Anything good coming up? :hehe:
Re: The Donald Trump thread
June 7th 2016, day of pre-planning meeting for Trump Jr's meeting with the Russians. Daddy Trump announces he has some dirt on Clinton to share soon.
June 8th, Russia starts DCLeaks
June 9th, the infamous meeting.
Later that day, Daddy tweets about Hillary's emails for the first time in 2016.
June 13th, Daddy had promised a speech about Clinton dirt.
June 14th, Russia starts Guccifer 2.0
It's all coincidence.

Back to the beginning again? Do you think it will have a different ending this time if we start over?
Re: The Donald Trump thread
I'm surprised Gluey hasn't shared the recordings that were released today of Devin Nunes speaking at a closed-door Republican Fundraiser about why things will go to shit unless Sessions un-recuses himself and stops the Mueller investigation, why the impeachment of Rosenstein is taking so long (to quickly pass Kavanaugh through to the Supreme Court which could halt the investigation)and also admitting that accepting help/support from foreign governments (including stolen emails) would be a criminal act.
He also said, and this is actually funny in a way, "But if they tell a lie often enough, and they put it out there and they say, ‘Oh, we’re looking at the tweets,’ 'cause you know you’ve got a mixed bag on the tweets, right? Like sometimes you love the president’s tweets, sometimes we cringe on the president’s tweets. But they’re trying to make [it] political," He admitted that they're cringey and also he knows (well, should know) they the President's tweets are treated as official statements from his office - which would make them the definition of political. Gutted.
Nunes is quite an importantant figure, right? Something to do with intelligence? :hehe:

Did he say anything that isn't true? I think all politicians should be more open and tell it like it is, but they are too worried about getting votes.

:hehe: We know it's all true, that's why it's a big deal.
He's said this at a private funraising event where no press or reporters were allowed (thinking he could speak freely) and he's talking about obstructing justice and inferring that Trump commited a criminal act.
He's also gonna piss Trump off with his comments about his tweets being cringey :hehe:
Odds on Nunes to be sacked shortly?
Re: The Donald Trump thread
EMAILS SHOW CHRISTOPHER STEELE LOBBIED DOJ OFFICIAL ON BEHALF OF RUSSIAN OLIGARCH
* Christopher Steele was working on the Trump dossier at the same time he was lobbying DOJ official Bruce Ohr on behalf of a Russian oligarch linked to Putin.
* Newly revealed emails show Steele thought the U.S. government should grant visas to Deripaska, who had been barred from traveling to the U.S.
* Steele asked Ohr to “keep an eye” on Deripaska’s visa case.

The run-up to the midterm elections is going to be very interesting, I am expecting to see fireworks from all directions
The Mueller team being in cahoots with Steele, Ohr, and FusionGPS without the DOJ/FBI knowing is a fascinating one, proper spy stuff going on there.

Re: The Donald Trump thread
A couple of the experts flagged that most of what Simpson (FusionGPS) allegedly told Ohr (DOJ) was not from Moscow — where the alleged plot was supposed to be based — but from a reported Russian in the United States who later seemed to disappear, according to Ohr’s notes.

Re: The Donald Trump thread
The Trump Russia Collusion Delusion is unravelling fast!
Re: The Donald Trump thread
National Security Adviser pleads guilty
Foreign Policy Adviser pleads guilty
Campaign Chair in the dock, with his defence making some sort of bargain with the beak
Deputy Campaign Chair testifying against the Chair
Many Russians indicted
Goodness, maybe there is something in this story after all. It would certainly explain Trump frantically tweeting about NFL players again.

Not happening like you think they are.

But happening none the less, so how can it be fake news, unless you're talking about the Trump version of it of course.
