Wasn't Blackett at Forest?

Yeh, started at Man Utd.

Re: Transfer deadline day Tuesday 11pm...rumours
Very underwhelming transfer window. Last January the signings transformed our season.
Now we have just 1, an unproven striker at this level. I guess there is still a chance of getting a couple of out of contract players, but things are looking very bad for us.
Never thought I would live to see us in Div 1 again.

Oh the irony. :hehe:
I’m the one making stuff on a thread you’re arguing the toss that signing Kieffer Moore on loan is a genuine possibility. That’s a good one that. :hehe:
Go to bed you boring kent. You could cure insomnia.

As for me. I said what I would do if I was the club.
They didn't. It is what it is.
I wouldn't make stuff up though.

Re: Transfer deadline day Tuesday 11pm...rumours
Other deadline day deals of (possible) interest:
Graham Kavanagh's son on loan at Newport from Boro
Onomah (mentioned earlier in the thread as a free agent) signed for the might that is Preston
Welsh former prospect George Thomas leaves QPR for Cambridge
And, in order to make you hate football all over again, Chelsea spend £106M on a midfielder you might not have heard of before last November.

For the sake of Thomas the younger, you wouldn't want to get those mixed up.

One whopper here.
I'll give you a clue. It's the one who makes up bullying allegations to sound ITK and doesn't provide one shred of proof.
Whopper indeed.

Some people are off their heads I swear. We have no way of paying, even loan fees.
Bangs head on steering wheel and matches off to work...

Lamouchi is more experienced than Hudson and yesterday was his first game.
We might very well go down at the end of the season, but I think people are being a little bit overdramatic at this point.

Re: Transfer deadline day Tuesday 11pm...rumours
Let's not forget here that we were shopping for freebies and loans because the club did not manage the embargo correctly.
We ended up making the first payment to Nantes to get a loan striker from Denmark in the last hour of the transfer window. It is quite hard to describe just how bad it is here at the moment.
How many mistakes will the club continue to make?
Just run the club competently is all we ask for as fans.
They've fallen short of that and still continue to do so now.

Absolutely.
Becoming a victim club. Always someone else's fault.
No it's ours. We handle almost everything poorly, right down to the basics.
Amateur hour and it will almost certainly mean league 1 this or next season unless something changes.
In my opinion.

It is a very real possibility.
Then what in League 1 though. The club will still be run badly at that level. Against teams like Sheffield Wednesday and the like.
We won't start running the club well because we've been relegated. They need to run the club properly or give it to somebody who can.
I don't care how much he puts in. A lot of it is down to mismanagement. He is tearing the soul out of this club.

Re: Transfer deadline day Tuesday 11pm...rumours
I cannot believe that anybody with an ounce of football knowledge looked at this squad, looked at the performances so far this season and thought we only needed a striker and it would fix all our problems. It is madness.

When did we make that payment, the 10th ? that left 3 weeks to do some decent business. I actually wonder if the club's energies in appointing Lamouchi suggest that they think the window also restricts them to appointing a manager before the 31st Jan. Either way, he wasn't working and could have been appointed after the window or before it - not slap bang in the last week !!

I started a thread saying they would hold on to Hudson and appoint a manager late in a bid to save money.
In the end they just kept Whitehead in place and brought in Lamouchi. The noises he made in his post match interview last night suggested he didn't have a clue what the club were doing in the transfer market with the deadline approaching.
Tan Out!

to be honest, a striker on a hot run would have made a massive difference in a number of games this season

A striker on a hot run, yes.
Have you checked this blokes stats?
I will support him while in the blue shirt but Alan Shearer he isn't.

I have a sneaking suspicion that they made the payment thinking that would be the embargo done and dusted, someone at the club not being aware of the other embargo clause meaning we can't pay a fee for anyone, or perhaps they thought that it wouldn't be enforced as ours was an unusual case.
It was always going to be a challenge to bring in many players if we can't pay a fee, even a loan fee.
Someone ****ed up - it happens. I bet Tan wouldn't have been too happy about it when he found out if that is the case.
