3-0 Wales at full time, complete control against a Scotland side with players at top academies
Colwill came off with 10 minutes to go, Scottish commentator - "thank goodness for that". 2 assists for Colwill today, best player on the pitch

He lost a season a few years back due to cancer, almost certainly took quite a while to get back to full match fitness.

Wales u18s drew 2-2 with Scotland. City's Matondo & Nyakuhwa with the goals

Re: The Bluebirds Academy and DVP thread...
Just finished watching the under 21s match. I must admit that as I listened to the commentators going through all of the top Academy’s the Scottish players were with that I thought Wales might be in for a hiding, but they were three goals better than their opponents and maybe worth one or two more. Gluey asked whether Wales age group sides were all coached the same way yesterday. On this evidence, I’d say yes, they certainly looked like an intelligent, well coached side - Scotland barely laid a glove on them.
As for Colwill, he was easily the most creative player on the pitch, but a critic of his might say that he was barely tested when it came to things like tracking back and tackling - for myself, I was happy to see him enjoying himself and doing the things he is good at, hopefully he’ll take a lot of confidence from it.
The commentators also mentioned thatThe under 21s had beaten what they called Columbia’s youth side 2-0 a few days ago.

Saw a picture of Joe Low yesterday, obvious who his dad is if you are City fans of a certain age

Hopefully Colwill has got his Mojo back 😀

Re: The Bluebirds Academy and DVP thread...
The game which decides whether Wales under 17s make it to the Euro Finals kicks off at 1 o clock today and is being streamed on Sgorio’s You Tube site.

Re: The Bluebirds Academy and DVP thread...
Wales conceded two goals in a minute just before half time. No more than Wales deserve after a careless and nervy showing - far too careless in possession.

Terrible to throw it away like that and to concede goals like that in stoppage time. Far too lax and they've been punished

Re: The Bluebirds Academy and DVP thread...
Three City players in the team, Dylan Lawlor at centre back, Luey Giles at left back and Troy Perrett in midfield - Giles hit the crossbar with a shot from a free kick and could be said to be Wales’ best hope of a goal up to now.

He’s just missed an absolute sitter - Wales still playing poorly, but the chances are there for them if they don’t let their nerves get the better of them.

Cymru go to the finals!

Re: The Bluebirds Academy and DVP thread...
Wales win the group after 2-2 draw and the other game finishes 0-0.
They didn’t play well and their passing was well below par, but give them credit for that fight back.

Re: The Bluebirds Academy and DVP thread...
Great stuff. Did it the hard way, giving their opponents a 2-0 headstart! Good to see some of our youngsters involved too.

Re: The Bluebirds Academy and DVP thread...
Fantastic to come back, they were easily the best of the 4 sides from what I saw
An historic moment!

Yes, they were well worth their win over Scotland and were unlucky against Iceland - not at their best today, but they probably deserved to win in the end.
