Had to read that twice before I realised your dad, not Debono, was the careers advisor.

The goals from the u-18s' 6-4 win at Watford on Saturday here, some quality ones too (I had to go back to check they hadn't shown the same Moreno goal twice).
They're doing well for now. Five points clear in second place, the top two make the end of season play offs with the top two from the Northern section. Jack Sykes is the top scorer in the league with 15 goals.

Former academy player Adeteye Gbadehan has joined St Louis CITY2 (the MLS side's reserve team).

1-1 draw for the u-21s at Swansea, Jake Davies with the goal.
A 1-1 draw for the under-18s too, at home to South division leaders Charlton today. Paul Moreno with our goal which was 'stunning' apparently, but we'll be the judge of that.
Decent result, Rob Tankiewicz and Jack Sykes (and Mannie Barton) played for the u-21s yesterday so we were slightly under strength. Six points clear of third place now so are looking good for the end of season play-offs.
90 second highlights of the two age-group games this weekend.
The under-18s' draw with Charlton. Paul
Moreno's free kick getting us level, great save from the Charlton keeper to deny Harry Watts a winner

The under-21s' draw at Swansea. I'm guessing Josh Beecher's excellent pass for Jake Davies to equalise was his first touch, he'd only just come on.

The u-21s are home to Fleetwood tomorrow, 3.00 kick-off at Leckwith Stadium.

Debono left unmarked to head in a corner, 1-1.

Fleetwood have got a big height advantage.
All the little lads are wearing blue!
I must be watching a different game from the commentators, Fleetwood have been the better team for me and should be leading at half time - the height advantage Jon mentioned isn’t helping us, but you would have thought we’d have the edge in terms of technique, yet there’s been little sign of that, in fact our ball retention has been quite poor.
All the talk of Fleetwood’s height advantage, yet City go ahead with their second header from a corner - Charlie O’Brien the scorer this time.
Yea slightly strange comms, Fleetwood have been equally as threatening if not more. Think that corner came down with snow and somehow managed to end up in a goal. If fleetwood have any height advantage they have no intention of using it.
Finished 2-1 to City, better from them in the second half, but it was one of those games where no one ever looked like they were in control of the ball which suggests that, besides the windy conditions, the pitch was a bit lively too.
The pitch always looks perfect down there and the wind wasn't unplayable but there were a lot of turnovers all game, it was hard to explain. Fleetwood were more physical than most teams you see at that level in terms of tight man-to-man marking and quick closing down, even Tankiewicz seemed to lose his composure once they stopped giving him any time on the ball. Good experience for them to come up against something different I guess.
Tankiewicz's mess up of the 3 on 1 led to an uncomfortable finish to the game. We had no forward options on the bench, Sykes was running on empty and the ball kept coming back at us. Everyone dug in, you couldn't fault the effort, but it was more of a struggle than it should've been.
Jac Thomas to Merthyr on loan.

Luke Armstrong, Luey Giles, Dakarai Mafico, Tanatswa Nyakuhwa and Cian Ashford in the Wales u-21 squad.
Noah Williams, Paul Moreno, Hayden Allmark, Jack Sykes and Axel Donczew in the u-18 squad.
Bit disappointing that Perrett's not in the under 21 squad (especially as it seems a pretty weak one presently), but he's still not getting as much game time at Yeovil as I thought he would..
Also, regarding Luke Armstrong who I tend to forget about because I don't think he's played for us this season, we have to get rid of some keepers in the summer surely, we've got so many of them.
At least they've been getting some games in. I'd have thought Tyrer and Turner are going to be very rusty if anything happens to Trott before the end of the season.
Disappointing loss for the u-18s today,1-0 at home to Peterborough. When I saw the under-21s limp home against Fleetwood on Tuesday I'd never have guessed that would be as good as it gets for us this week.
BBM saidTyrer was injured about a fortnight ago, so it may be that he’s still unavailable, but I think it’s pretty certain that he would have been left out of the squad even if he had been; fit. There’s two things I just don’t get about BBM’s management: rotating his centrebacks and not having a keeper on the bench when we can still pick seven subs.
Four call-ups for the Wales under-19s squad; Rob Tankiewicz, Jac Thomas, Mannie Barton and Jake Davies. They travel to Spain to play the USA on Saturday. Even if we win 4-0 then USA will claim they won. Or is it just one guy who does that?
According to Yeovil, Dakarai Mafico has pulled out of the u-21s squad and is back with us, for now, getting treatment on an achilles problem.
0-0 draw for Wales u18/19s vs France
Impressive seeing as Wales were down to 10 from the 30th minute
Good result, yes. Must be the first time we've had three first teamers starting for the Wales under-18s side. Noah Williams was captain, Jack Sykes got 68 minutes and Axel Donczew was sacrificed after the early sending off.
Talking of sending offs, Troy Perrett was red-carded for Yeovil tonight in their 2-0 win at Wealdstone. Straight red for use of an elbow although there seems to be some doubt about it. Shame if he misses games now, he's started the last couple.
A good 2-1 win against the hosts, Switzerland, for the Wales u-18s side as they continue their qualification group for next year's u-19 Euros. Noah Williams was captain, Paul Moreno and Hayden Allmark started, Axel Donczew and Jack Sykes came on as subs. Hungary next up.
Not so good for the u-19s as they lost a friendly 4-0 to USA. Jac Thomas and Jake Davies played the first half, Mannie Barton the second. Rob Tankiewicz didn't travel. A USA spokesman said after the game 'it was great to totally obliterate those deranged scumbags. Cuba is next'. Steady on mate, it's only a game.
Wales u21s kicking off against Denmark at 5pm. Ashford starting, Giles on the bench.
Donczew & Williams start for Wales u18s
U19s and u21s both lost 4-0 today - not good.
Indeed, especially following on from the 'senior' u-19s losing 4-0 on Saturday. The u-18s/19s result today was weird considering their previous two results in the group. They finished third, I don't think it affects much but the rules are so complicated it makes the Belgian play-offs look like noughts and crosses so don't take my word for it.
This summer's u-19 Euros are in North Wales in June/July. The other teams through are Germany, Italy, Serbia, Croatia, Ukraine, Denmark and Spain. England didn't qualify, despite beating Portugal 6-0 today with Max Dowman and Chris Rigg playing. I wonder if Kpakio will get parachuted in for the finals? I'd expect Isaac Davies to play but there's no sign of him for us or Wales lately.
Herbie James got 28 minutes for the under-21s yesterday in a 4-0 defeat at top of the table Brentford. Revenge for them as we won 4-0 down here (they didn't have a keeper for the last 87 minutes that day which may have had something to do with it).
We've dropped out of the play off places for now with three games left.
A 2-1 win for the u-21s today at Hillsborough. Trey George with both the goals, starts for Axel Donczew and Paul Moreno.
While we're saying George got the late winner, Sheffield Wednesday are saying that Jake Davies got it and then got sent off for breaking the corner flag in his celebrations. The truth will out.
Very likely he was part of the squad, yes. It would've been interesting if Lawlor hadn't been fit to play today but I don't think Kingdon would've made the starting eleven. We'll see whether lads like him, Donczew and Tankiewicz pop up on the bench when promotion is secured though.
Kingdon just won player of the season at u-21 level and is captain, I'd say he's significantly ahead of Debono for now in the club's reckoning but I feel he's gone backwards, if anything, from what I've seen. His passing, long and short, has become very erratic and Debono has been at least his equal but I'm only going off a limited sample size so I'm happy to trust the club's judgement for now.
A 4-0 loss for the u-18s at Wigan today. Not sure what side they had out but it's a poor result, even allowing for Wigan being top of the Northern section in that league.
I an understand why Kingdon is regarded as the closest to the first team among our under 21 centrevacks if he is, but Debono has been the best in that position at that level since the Christmas/ New Year break for me.
The under 21s’ win on Friday is on the club website and it confirms that Trey George got both goals with the winner being somewhat unusual and Jake Davies did play a prominent role in it - nothing to indicate either he or George were sent off as a result of their celebrations though.
I couldn’t find the under 18# result anywhere when I was writing my blog, so thanks for that - if Wigan’s under 28s are that good, they should’ve fielded them down here instead of their appalling first team.
