He's going somewhere as he's not gone on tour with Man U. Swansea also interested, and a handful of other teams.

Re: Transfer Rumours | Summer 2023
Merek Rodak mentioned on insta although looked like just a guess.
https://www.thesun.co.uk/sport/22051...transfer-exit/
Looks like he wants to be off somewhere?

Probably just his agent putting his name out there

The one's mentioned in the article Bob posted presumably?

The most illogical signing of last summer. We already had Ng and Romeo and we added VDC on a 3 year contract.

I'm not against giving 20 year olds a chance tbh. Some work some don't. This looking like the latter but it won't have cost us a lot

Watters off to Barnsley today according to Darren Witcoop.

I guess the logic was that NG was playing regularly as a CB under Morison.

He’s 22. It was mental to give him a 3 year deal. So many of last summer’s signings make no sense.
Some, thankfully, came off. I just find it bizarre that the same bloke that signed VDC signed Giles, Philogene, Doyle, Drameh etc

The most illogical signing was loaning out McGuinness and buying Simpson.

He's so far behind championship it should have been spotted.

Some great loans there another three like Phlo, Doyle and Dramah would be nice.

Charlie Savage has joined Reading on a permanent deal.

Seems Man U and Reading have agreed a deal and terms being discussed. Wonder if a Championship club take a punt and jump in.
I presume this is a free with a sell on clause as I thought Reading were skint.

When you said... "Wonder if a Championship club take a punt and jump in" I had to read it twice, initially it didn't seem to make sense.
Then the penny finally dropped, I of course then remembered that Reading are no longer a Championship club!
They had, like us, been in the Championship quite a few years, anyone know how long exactly?

Apparently United would insert a large % sell on clause along with a buy back option if they follow a similar pattern to their other young player transfers

He's 22 now yeah. Bot when we signed him.
With the benefit of hindsight etc etc but signing a (just turned) 21 year old on a three year contract is beyond the norm

Well, thanks for your input anyway.

Re: Transfer Rumours | Summer 2023
They were in the championship when it first formed in 2004/2005 season except the 3 years they spent in the premiership, so quite a long time

Re: Transfer Rumours | Summer 2023
Bobby Thomas the Burnley defender we were linked with has signed for CCFC..... Coventry!

Re: Transfer Rumours | Summer 2023
Henry Saye who is normally “in the know” has tweeted, Moore is down the Vale.

I’d be surprised if he did sign. Though would be happy if he did.

Someone on Twitter who was right about Ramsey is saying Moore’s at the Vale.
Someone said City would not be signing Moore as they’re looking in different positions, but the bloke who appeared to be in the know on Ramsey tweeted a few minutes ago that he was at our training ground
-
Re: Transfer Rumours | Summer 2023
Moore doesn't suit our style now does he? still would have him on loan though, for sure.

The person who tweeted this has deleted it.

As much as I can't see it happening I'd have him back in a heartbeat. He has consistently scored goals at a decent rate everywhere he's played and I'd be pretty confident he'd do well with the attacking options we now have.

He's a good striker, who can play and puts the ball in the back of the net. He isn't a carthorse, or at least he wasn't when he was here. It is hard to judge anyone for Wales these days :hehe:

Re: Transfer Rumours | Summer 2023
Im sure Moore can get a club looking to challenge at the top. Cant believe hed come here.
If he did it would be a brilliant signing.

Could be a case of doing as he's told if Bournemouth owe us money and we are willing to waive payments
-
Re: Transfer Rumours | Summer 2023
3-2-5 formation this season then? Quality player at this level, but you wouldn't have thought we'd bring in Grant, Ugbo and Meite to then turn around and sign Kieffer as well.

I would imagine that Ugbo would be on the bench if we get Moore
-
Re: Transfer Rumours | Summer 2023
That still leaves us with Grant, Meite and Robinson on what you assume are big wages as well though... I can't see it if he's got any budget left you'd thought he has to get a center back in. Would certainly be an exciting season and we won't be hurting for goals like we were last year mind.

Totally agree with your last sentence. Adding Moore to the players we've already signed, if that lot can't get goals you would have to assume someone's put a curse on the club lol

Grant is going to play off the left. He’s said so in an interview. It’ll be a Robinson, Grant and a centre forward as a front 3 with Ramsey behind.
-
Re: Transfer Rumours | Summer 2023
He's a quality player, a real step up on Ugbo & Etete. Again makes the signing of Ugbo somewhat baffling, we should be using loan spots to add quality, not backups.
A front 4 of Grant, Ramsey, Robinson & Moore is a top quality frontline in the Championship and far better than anything we put out last season. If we manage to bring in Moore and a couple of defenders then that's a strong looking squad with some real quality going forward, as well as decent bench options in the likes of Meite and Colwill

Could be a case of him being offered to us and too good an opportunity to turn down.

it's the way it works sometimes I guess, if Moore ends up coming then we possibly wouldn't have signed Ugbo, a bit like us signing John Brayford and then at the end of the window getting theophile-Catherine.
