It's far from a no brainer.
We'd need another CB let alone a striker.

I’d keep McGuinness, if he’s rated at £5M now, a successful season challenging around the top six and he’d be worth twice that

I'd definitely keep him if it were my choice, but Chambers won't have come here to sit on the bench (his wages will reflect that) and I'm pretty sure Goutas will be Bulut's automatic choice of partner for him, so if Chambers and Goutas stay fit and in reasonable form the chances are McGuinness won't get much game time. In an ideal world the club would keep all three, but as soon as Chambers was mentioned as a serious transfer prospect I felt we'd probably see either McGuinness or Ng leave (depending on where Bulut intends to play Chambers).

McGuinness was Sheffield Wednesday’s player of the month twice. Why do you feel the need to exaggerate his achievements?

Why do you feel the need to be correct all the time , even through it’s obvious that you’re talking total bullshit. It’s hilarious how you take things so literally, but then again that could be because of a multitude of personality differences that clearly aren’t normal.
Ultimately he must have something about him if clubs are willing to pay £5m plus for him.

As a reminder... we signed Gary Madine for £6M.

D'you know what, I think you're right. I'm going to take a leaf out of your book from now on and disregard the facts, particularly if I don't like them or they get in the way of the point I'm trying to make. It'll be much easier for me to do what you do - just make some random shit up and post it as 'fact' in order to further my argument.
Nobody will ever notice the difference.

I like the way what I posted about Mcguiness was random shit , according to you. , I mentioned he was player of the year , but infact he was player of the month on more than one occasion, wow , an oversight , you knew exactly the point I was trying to make yet you felt obliged to knit-pick like you always do.

When I said 'make some random shit up,' I wasn't talking exclusively about this thread. I've noticed it's something you tend to do quite often.
Speaking of which, and returning to the matter at hand, you've suggested Mark McGuinness has been the recipient of 'high endorsements by numerous managers.'
Much as I like the player, I don't recall that being the case. So who are these guys and what did they say?

I suppose (to be fair) Mick McCarthy, Darren Moore, Hark Hudson, Sabri Lamouche and Erol Bulut add up to 'numerous managers'.
The highest endorsement coming from McCarthy.
Clinton Morrison is also a big fan. That has to count for something!

We would but decent centre backs are significantly easier to find than strikers. Also, we'd be in a position where we have 2 nailed on starting centre backs - you can't say the same for our striking options.

Mick McCarthy was mad though. Played him right back in that back 5 when his master plan went tit's up after we conceded a minute in.

He does have a point to be fair… the thread you titled ‘Nantes close to bankruptcy’ was just a little bit sensationalist don’t you agree?👍

Possibly , but that’s how the media works and it’s relevant to the current court case which involves Cardiff City Football Club.Hundreds of topics on this board sadly are not.

That only adds up to numerous if you are very challenged when it comes to counting.

Re: The Transfer Window Rumours thread
We're in talks with Brighton about a loan deal for Jeremy Sarmiento of Brighton according to Twitter - he scored West Brom's winner down here last season during what was a pretty underwhelming loan spell with the Baggies, he then went to Ipswich on loan from January, not too sure how well or badly he did there

Re: The Transfer Window Rumours thread
The Robinson/Riis swap deal with Preston was reported on social media yesterday. I'd be happy to move Robinson on, but don't know how reliable the report was. It was from one of the City ITK's
Does anybody know much about Riis. I remember him coming on as a sub against us a couple of seasons ago. He looked a raw handful, but hasn't set the world on fire or nailed down a 1st choice spot in a pretty average team.

Jeremy Sarmiento signed a 4 year , $4,160,000 contract with the Brighton & Hove Albion, including an average annual salary of $1,040,000. In 2024, Sarmiento will earn a base salary of $1,040,000, while carrying a cap hit of $1,040,000.
