The rumour that Keiffer Moore might be coming here has been around all summer, so my guess, which is probably wrong, is that we were in for him earlier, got nowhere, hence the Ugbo signing, and now we’ve been told he’s available after all. Must admit I didn’t think a return by Moore was likely given that it was widely thought he didn’t want to be here after the interest from Wolves at the start of his second season here.

Re: Transfer Rumours | Summer 2023
He may well have seen our new signings as indicators that the club has been reinvigorated and persuaded that we are on the up again. The current Wales captain being here has probably not escaped his notice either. So if the rumours are true it is easy to understand why we are now a more attractive proposition to him than when he left us for Bournemouth. All speculation of course.

Re: Transfer Rumours | Summer 2023
Add Moore and that front 4 looks strong, pace and power and real options. I think we would then be 3 or 4 players off a play off push.
-
Re: Transfer Rumours | Summer 2023
Keeper and a center back and I'd tend to agree with you
-
Re: Transfer Rumours | Summer 2023
If Moore comes in and we have him, Grant, Robinson and Ramsey then that's a quite impressive front 4. Whichever two play behind them are not up to that standard. Ideally we'd keep two of Adams, Rino, Ralls and Wintle as back-up and replace the other pair. Also, a right back and as others have pointed out a keeper and centre half. But Rome wasn't built in one window.

Re: Transfer Rumours | Summer 2023
I'd be delighted to sign first season Moore but less so the lazy arse who couldn't leave the building quick enough in his second season with us.
If he is coming here it must be because we are owed a payment by Bournemouth and waiving it gets around the transfer fee ban.

I didn't blame him wanting to leave. Balls were pumped up endlessly to him with his back to goal and without any intelligence.

Linked to Yan Valery in last hour - apparently we're fighting Huddersfield for him

Don’t really need another right back do we? He didn’t impress me at Southampton.

One for the future. If true then Ralls place would be under threat.

Re: Transfer Rumours | Summer 2023
Schneiderlin's 33 and spent last season in the A League...

I remember Southampton being in terrible financial trouble fifteen years ago and selling players galore through the summer of 2008. Yet they still spent over a million on the teenage Schneiderlin and he played at Ninian Park in the opening game of the 08/09 season - would have loved ro have him here then, not so sure now.

Bournemouth have a friendly against Southampton tonight so will be interesting if we haven’t signed him by then if he is in their squad

They might be signing him to go in goals.

Re: Transfer Rumours | Summer 2023
Charlie Patino latest to be linked
that would be good especially if some kind of permanent deal is worked out

Think he would be a fantastic signing, he did well with Wilson. Whilst debatable that we have anyone with the overall ability of Wilson at the moment, we would have plenty of good options around him.
He left under a cloud. Always time for second chances

He’s 31 in a few weeks, at that age and considering he was a late developer, he should be playing every minute he can, not sat on his arse getting splinters.
Unless is coarse he’s developed into a lazy tw^t

Would be a cracking signing. Does beg the question, what on Earth was going on last summer, and what is going on this one! :hehe:

I guess the main difference is last summer we HAD to sign pretty much an entire new squad, so we just had to get bodies in "the building" and couldn't afford to wait and see if we could get better in a lot of cases because we might have ended up with half a squad.
probably easier to work with an existing squad and identify a few key areas to add some quality

Transfer value €12m so can’t see anything other than a loan but Luton also in the frame.

and we count as international transfer so Arsenal are restricted on the number of loans - is that still a thing?

I see Moore is on the bench for Bournemouth tonight, does that end this current rumour? https://twitter.com/afcbournemouth/s..._u6FvzRrA&s=19

We went with the throw shit at the wall and see if it stuck policy last year. Our squad was enormous, it was over 30 at one point.
Never mind, club look like they've learnt their lessons. We still have an major issue at centre half even if we do sign Moore and Patino.

Coarse? He may be quite sophisticated.

But if he isn’t used tonight, this’ll show he’s not wanted by Bournemouth and thus maybe a loan transfer could still be on.
