Looks like Glamorgan will be chasing a bigger total than Wednesday - Sussex 86-1 off 20 overs.
Struggling now though 107-5, bit of a collapse after a decent start
157-7 with plenty of overs left, much depending on Billy Root..
Root out for 48, 20 to get with two wickets left.
Van Der Gugten out with 14 needed, think Sussex are favourites now.
Glamorgan win by 1 wicket!
Well played Jamie Mc
Exciting finish , well done to McIlroy and Gorvin for playing very sensibly right at the end
Great finish. Game that ebbed and flowed a few times. Thought we bowled well at them. They were always lagging behind after our few consecutive maidens at the start, then just as they had put together a decent partnership we took those quick wickets
Thought we were cruising towards the total, but they bowled really well. Think Bevan needs to look back at his innings mind, when you don't respect the game it has a nasty habit of biting you, tom needs to learn that i'd suggest.
Thought Byrom was on for another 100, only batsman on either side who made that pitch look easy.
Nail biting finish, but what fun they are when you win!
4 from 4, bloody fantastic
Much could be made out of this but Surrey for example (although maybe an extreme one) still had Sibley, Burns, and Foakes at their disposal.
Weather just about held and had a very enjoyable day at the Gnoll with the crowd being treated to a lower scoring thriller. Batting looked easier at the start of both innings until it suddenly didn’t and scoring looked harder work for both teams as it went on. Root looked particularly gutted to get out as he did, think a potential fifty and starting to get set to bring the game home probably why.
Great start to the competition. Shame this format has been treated as it has been by the ECB as it’s a pleasant way to spend a day.
Welsh Fire women go top of the table with a six wicket win at Trent Rockets, a calm and impressive run chase on a turning wicket after the three big guns at the top of the order didn’t fire.
Welsh Fire men clawed their way back into the game for an unlikely win, helped by some kamekazi running and batting by the Rockets.
Essex 150-7 chasing Glamorgan’s 283 with 18 overs to go. - strange looking Glamorgan team, they must have a few injuries.
Another win by the Welsh Fire Women in a low scoring game to consolidate their position at the top of the table - they have won their last three matches while their best bowler has been out injured.
Surprised to see Glamorgan have started their top of the table clash with Warwickshire, it’s a 21 over game and they’re 93-3 off 13 overs.
Happy with a NR…both on 11 points….Glammy with a better RR
No harm done, but I reckon that was a testing target for Warwickshire and we were favourites.
A washout was probably a good outcome for the Welsh Fire Women against the am in second, but the men needed a win and were well on the way to getting it when they restricted Northern Superchargers to 26-5 off their 25 balls before the rain returned to make it another abandoned game.
Leicestershire 74-5 in the fourteenth over, can’t find a stream of it though.
Badly need some good news this weekend. All hopes on Glam.
I was watching coverage of their game with Surrey from some club ground last week on You Tube - I suppose they only charge for games at what I still call Grace Road. I have some sympathy with Leicestershire, they’re the smallest team in county cricket, but consistently produce good, young players only to lose them to richer counties as soon as their contracts run out.
Think Kent were charging for streams for certain one day matches last season.
One thing I notice, for the first time in a long time Northeast and Ingram appear in the same Glamorgan - does that mean there was nothing to that rumour of them having a fall out?
Leicestershire 120-6.
It's an odd one. I think it's the first time they've played together since that disastrous T20 home game v Gloucestershire. Northeast came back after injury last week and Ingram was 'rested' again so it felt like there was something to it but I know a guy who works down there (not team related) and he hadn't heard of any problem and said Ingram is the easiest guy to get along with so was surprised at the suggestion of an issue.
Who knows? Glad they're both in today, we might need them. Leicestershire fighting back, 204-6.
Not doing very well 167-6 chasing 271, they need 105 runs in 15 overs with 4 wickets in hand
all out 262 lost by 9 runs
Qualified for the knockout stage but need to beat Yorks in the final game to get a home semi

Important qualification games today for Glamorgan and the Welsh Fire women's team today. If the City under 21s game is streamed, it will be the busiest sporting Wednesday lunchtime involving teams I support of my life :hehe:!
Very comprehensive win for the Welsh Fire women by 9 wickets with plenty of balls to spare which gives them a good chance of going straight through to the Final at Lords.
Not going so well for Glamorgan who are 165-8 after 37 overs of a 47 over match.
230-9 off their 47 overs mainly thanks to Root and Van Der Gugten - the commentators think it’s a good score.
Pitch seems to be doing a lot. Van Der gugten and Mcillroy bowled well up front. Douthwaite unlucky so far, every time he finds the edge it's flying past the keeper.
Glam win 62 runs
