Re: The Bluebirds Academy and DVP thread...
Finished 3-2, think Met can feel a bit hard done by after they had the better of the second half, but tremendous credit to the City youngsters for overcoming such a physical challenge and showing great determination.

Re: The Bluebirds Academy and DVP thread...
A pretty good performance. Impressed with Trey George and Jefferies. There is also a player in Tom Davies. I'm not sure it's at centre back, but some of his passing and the way he brought the ball out of defence was as good as I've seen from a Centre Back for City recently (although Daland was good against the Jacks)

Re: The Bluebirds Academy and DVP thread...
I think we play the winner of Barry town and Penybont in the next round, they play tomorrow

Re: The Bluebirds Academy and DVP thread...
Where was Ashford? Being saved for the 1st team tomorrow or in the doghouse after bad behaviour whilst away with the Wales U21's?

Re: The Bluebirds Academy and DVP thread...
Cracking finish for the winner. Bit lucky with the 2nd equaliser but he was in the right place.

I thought I read that the 4 remaining sides go into an open draw and no longer north v south. Can anyone confirm?
Edit found the info here https://faw.cymru/cymru-leagues/news...haniel-mg-cup/
Like the three previous rounds, the quarter-final draw is unseeded but regionalised – with two ties in the Northern section and two ties in the Southern section before it becomes an open draw at the semi-final stage. All quarter-final matches will be played on 22-23 October.

Re: The Bluebirds Academy and DVP thread...
If we send Kanga back to Hamburg in January, I hope we get to see Reindorf on the bench. Personally I think he should be there now.

He was poor tonight mind, couldn't get anything going. He wasn't the only one as Met looked like they had about 14 players every time we had the ball and a number of ours were getting pressured into making mistakes. But we found a way to be fair, heads didn't drop. The first goal was well worked as a team, the winner was just explosive.
It was a tough watch for much of the time tonight, it was a different challenge to what they're used to and it took a long time to come to terms with it. Much like the team as a whole, considering how Reindorf had struggled he showed a lot of character to keep backing himself and it was a great finish from him. Made it well worth the admission money in the end, if it hadn't been free to get in.

Can’t see Hamburg being too happy about that, he’s on loan from Hertha Berlin.

A spokesman from Hertha has said this morning
“Can you keep quiet about that and act on Spartacus’ recommendation”

Fifteen (or is it sixteen?) years after Eddie Johnson, we have the second coming.

Not yet it seems, but I would have thought there'll be something posted by the club today and someone will link it to this thread.

Re: The Bluebirds Academy and DVP thread...
I see Morrison (not Morison) is going to be doing some coaching with our academy.

Finished 2-1 to City, Jake Davies with the second half goal.
