Mike Cox, he played left wing mostly in the reserves but he played with Toshack who was only 16 at the time and Scoular the Manager said just keep crossing the ball to that lanky kid! Mike went on to win the Welsh League and play in the Southern League with Bridgend Town. In those days Cardiff used to hold several trials for local Welsh League players and many local players went through this system.
