Favourite is definitely Pirlo

Gheorgi Hagi
Messi
De Bruyne

Luis Suarez is also the best player I've seen in all of our Premier League years.

Alan Shearer. A brute, beyond clinical and scored his fair share of absolute sh*t-pingers too. That Newcastle team at the turn of the millennium was great to watch.

Mine would be Georgi Kinkladze. I first remember him from Georgia's 5-0 demolition of us in 1994, then he went on to join Citeh. They were pretty average then, but some of his goals are incredible. Some good clips on here: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=x1T_MJP0FIA

George Best all day long ⚽️

Re: Your Favourite Non Welsh or Cardiff Player ever
Bastian Schweinsteiger. Kept it simple but so good technically, struck the ball so well.

Matt letissier, before he went full Icke

Re: Your Favourite Non Welsh or Cardiff Player ever
Jimmy Dickinson MBE.
Wing half
Won two successive Div 1 Champion medals (ie Premiership) for the mighty Pompey 1948-50
Capped 48 times for England
A one-club man, he played 846 times for Pompey.
He was NEVER booked.
I first saw him in 1952.
He spoke to me after I played in a Cup Final at Fratton Park.

Re: Your Favourite Non Welsh or Cardiff Player ever
Robert Pires or Henry for me. Pires just about shades it. So comfortable on the ball, could spot a pass and a fantastic finisher.
Always thought the biggest sign that wenger had lost the plot was when he messed him about over a contract extension because he was over 30.

Far wider range of responses on here than I imagined

Re: Your Favourite Non Welsh or Cardiff Player ever
Henry. Was lucky enough to watch him at Highbury many times when I lived in London. Bergkamp is up there and Pires was mentioned too. Henry though. Without a doubt for me.

Henry for me, class above most players
Along with fellow full back,Peter Baker, he was a lynchpin of Tottenham’s double winning side. A crime that Ron Henry only gained one England cap. Good choice...............................:hide:

He preferred to be called Ronald.

Re: Your Favourite Non Welsh or Cardiff Player ever
I’ve mentioned Gerd Müller but am I allowed to mention a modern player too, if so, Kevin de Bruyne. The Premier League’s top performer, may as well give him ‘Man of the match’ before the ref’s whistle blows. Haaland may achieve a record number of ‘tap ins’ this coming season with the service he’s going to receive.

Re: Your Favourite Non Welsh or Cardiff Player ever
Enzo Schifo, the belgian midfielder. Class with the ball at his feet
