This. It’s plainly obvious most of the fans are a bit subdued and pi55ed off by this appointment however I’m all for getting behind him and the team and lets see what happens. Got to give the guy a chance.
Never a dull moment down the city.

Re: Neil Harris is the new Cardiff manager
I don't know why anyone is that surprised by this appointment. Okay, we all wanted a super-duper high-flying name to turn around the football, and restore us to the Premier, pronto. But it wasn't that likely, was it? Harris wasn't the first on my list (I'd have gone for Ainsworth), but he's far from being the worst (Hughes, anyone? Or Coleman?). Lets at least give the guy a chance. I'll be at Charlton, and I'll still be renewing my season ticket, whether we stay up, or go down.

Re: Neil Harris is the new Cardiff manager
I think we’ll all be incredibly surprised by this appointment.
In his four year tenure at Millwall he:
-Play off Final twice
-FA quarters twice
-18 games unbeaten
He will fit our side perfectly. I’m excited :)

And the Millwall fans still hated him as manager..

"I don't know why anyone is that surprised by this appointment"
Partly because Dalman said he wanted a more "offensive" manager.
Hang on a minute I suppose Dalman is right as plenty of people do find the appointment of Harris offensive.

Re: Neil Harris is the new Cardiff manager
He got Millwall to 7th in the championship. I’m not that enthused by the appointment but we’ve got to give him a chance. Maybe his style of football was horses for courses at millwall, give him 10 games and see how he’s getting on.
-
Re: Neil Harris is the new Cardiff manager
I will give him a couple of games before i can comment on his ability to manage our team.So come on Neil Harris prove all of us doubters wrong.

He had 3 years to change the players and the style. He didn’t. He won’t here either.

Re: Neil Harris is the new Cardiff manager
So Warnock obviously told Dalman to go for Harris.
I wonder if anyone else was even considered?
Or did he just shit himself and follow the last scrap of football info Warnock left him with?
-
Re: Neil Harris is the new Cardiff manager
Can’t be arsed to re-type the same comment I made a few days ago.
My opinion is still the same, I think it’s a good appointment
....................
Not sure I understand the negativity on Harris?
Did a damn good job on limited resources at Millwall.
The 2 lads in our office in London who support Millwall wont have a bad word said about “Bomber”...
How often do you have that after a guy has just left a club?
Says much about him and his reputation.
I would completely understand the negativity about Pulis.
Another hoof ball merchant with a history of fans at clubs wanting him out.
But Neil Harris?
I think he could well do a half decent job if given some resources he never had at Millwall yet still took them up and kept them up?

When we played them up there 2 years ago they moved the ball really well. They lost Gregory and Saville after that who were pretty creative players, so maybe going more direct was all that was left for him.
I was amazed he kept them competitive

Not lack of ambition, total lack of football knowledge at board level.
I stick by my original comments, this was a Neil Warnocks choice before departing.
I believe he put Harris forward a couple of weeks before his departure.
I am totally convinced that Tan and Choo had never heard of him

He also had them one place above relegation last season.

Re: Neil Harris is the new Cardiff manager
Such a backward move. Smells of Warnock. The club are idiots listening to a dinosaur like him.

Charlton are competitive with a small budget.
He sold them and didn’t replace them then, obviously!? His fault then he lost that creativity?
I hope we do well and the football improves, I’d never want us to do badly. I’m just not holding my breath.
Sala fee to go unpaid, transfer ban, and a cheap manager that works with peanuts already in place.
Just like after the last relegation their arses have gone and it’s back to cutting costs.

Do you think he had much money?

Do think Gregory is a midfielder? He's a striker (and not a "creative" one). I'm sure we've been over this before when discussing transfer targets.

Bored of repeating myself.
Did Barnsley, Luton, Charlton?
He sold players too...
