Not really. It was unfortunate, but nothing outrageous. I don't think it would get overturned by VAR.

Don't forget the Denis Law handball goal at Ninian Park (Canton End) in the 60's/70's (I'm old see:hehe: can't remember the year)

I thought it was very harsh.

I did at the time. But looking back, we didn't do enough on the night. It's not like we were robbed. Slightly fortunate for Scotland, but they had the advantage of only needing a draw. Losing to Iceland is what did us in.

If you can't have a crack at goal in a Thursday night friendly against the USA in front of no fans at the ****ing Liberty, when can you?

I think we drew 2-2 with Iceland. We were all over the Scots in the first half and should have been more than 1 up. In the second half we started dropping deep and then they got that pen late on which I always felt was ball to hand.

All 4 games standing at 0-1. One of them full time.

Re: WALES v USA. Match thread (and other Euro games)
Serbia 1 - 1 Scotland (90th min leveller for Serbia)
NI 1 - 1 Slovakia (late equaliser for NI as Slovakia score 87th min og)

Re: FT: WALES 0 - 0 USA. Match thread (and other Euro games)
Top shagger Lafferty just hit the post seconds after their equalizer

At least there should be a bit of excitement in the next half hour or so. I'll be switching between games. Maybe we'll get some pens.

Re: FT: WALES 0 - 0 USA. Match thread (and other Euro games)
McBurnie own goal would do for me.

Re: WALES v USA. Match thread (and other Euro games)
Against England, it seemed as some of our young players were still playing youth football while the opposition weren't. Tonight, it didn't seem that way at all.
As far as nil-nils go, I thought there was enough about it to make a good watch and will be judged as being good for our development. Rabi Matondo played his best game for us at senior level, Danny Ward was solid enough and Moore did his best Gareth Bale impression by being pushed to the touch-line before running past a player. We still need to work on taking our chances but definitely more pros than cons.
Alright, you can go back to the Scotland game now :hehe:

Re: FT: WALES 0 - 0 USA. Match thread (and other Euro games)
NI 1 - 2 Slovakia (110 mins)
Scotland still 1 - 1 (117 mins)

Re: FT: WALES 0 - 0 USA. Match thread (and other Euro games)
Tidy result for Wales and a decent 2nd half performance.
The US aren’t pushovers and I can see the team progressing well.

Re: FT: WALES 0 - 0 USA. Match thread (and other Euro games)
Scotland go to penalties. David Marshall in goal
