Got into uni as well for it but chose to join the military over going to uni.

My 2 favourite hobbies too but you don't need to be Uber creative or a musical genius to enjoy them. Painting is a great example.
For a relatively modest outlay you can get a set of watercolours and by following simple instructions, you will be surprised at what you can achieve. If you are interested, you should watch an Irishman called Frank Clarke on YouTube. Very instructive and enjoyable.👍

I applied for a job as a fanny barber once. Was told I had to go to Croydon. I asked if that was where the job is. They said no the jobs in Manchester but Croydon is where the queue starts

15 years opening the batting for Glamorgan was what I wanted. I just wanted to take over from Alan Jones.

I knew someone who wanted to be like Bernard Hedges.
Now that was ambition!

Strangely enough Bernard Hedges was the last Glamorgan player that my club Pontypridd produced that made it to first class level.
Pontypridd born Jonathan Hughes played for us until about 4 years ago and represented Glamorgan for quite a few years, but didn't join us as a club, until Glamorgan sent him to us as our county player when we were a Premier League side.

Writer or Journalist.
I left school without even an O level in Maths, and somehow drifted into a lifetime working in Finance. But I was great at English, and have always thought I could have done something with it. Okay, I did write and publish 80 editions of TBL, but I'm not sure that qualifies!
