Re: Cider Drinkers. What do you drink?
When I used to live in Blackwood for a short time, there was a cider in the Institute. If my memory serves me correct (too much of this bloody cider along with other alcohol) it was 8% and 98p a pint. Blew your head off.

Re: Cider Drinkers. What do you drink?
A long time ago I'd have a glass or three of Taunton Natural Dry, but don't see it much around here these days.
I'm more of an ale snob anyway.

Re: Cider Drinkers. What do you drink?
Bought a few cases of 'cidre' when we were in south Brittany many years ago. Local producer. It was like drinking champagne. Spoils you for anything that comes out of a bottle or can in this country I'm afraid..

Re: Cider Drinkers. What do you drink?
I love cider but I reckon it should be on the optics.:hehe:

Re: Cider Drinkers. What do you drink?
Can only be Henry Weston’s Vintage, takes me back to the 70s learning to drink, brought up on scrumpy & cloudy bottoms, no filtered stuff in them days
P.s. cider here in Poland is excellent, prefer it to the beer

Re: Cider Drinkers. What do you drink?
Best Advice the old man ever gave me was stay away from Cider - Rots your guts. It certainly took my old Pentrebach mate out at 48 with a shot liver.

Re: Cider Drinkers. What do you drink?
After being diagnosed with coeliac, all I could drink was cider, no lager or beer.
I used to enjoy a few pints of cider on a hot summers day, but to drink it all the time, na !!!!
This has now all changed and I’ve actually got used to it. Obviously the most common make out there is Strongbow, but Thatchers Gold and Thatchers cloudy are tidy.
A good value bottled cider for the house is Aldi’s Irish Cider £1.29 a pint bottle .
It’s also a myth about rotting your guts, or brings on gout .

Re: Cider Drinkers. What do you drink?
Suprised Gwynt Y Ddraig hasn’t been mentioned yet. They have 6 or 7 types and they’re all really good.
I love cider but my guts don’t seem to, anyone else have this problem?

Re: Cider Drinkers. What do you drink?
It’s marvellous for coughs…….you can tell a dedicated cider drinker, if he does cough, he has to clutch the seat of his pants at the same time. You daren’t cough!

Re: Cider Drinkers. What do you drink?

Old Rosie Cloudy .
Any Farmhouse Cider.
Best out of bottles or craft boxes like Vaults does.
The Stable in town he place to go to and try many ciders on a rack .. pizza and pie's nice as well back St David's 2 rear entrance ..

Re: Cider Drinkers. What do you drink?
My old favourite used to be Merrydown dry but I don't see it on tap any more.
