Thats a stealth way of catching people out. As I mention earlier in the thread the phone at CCS Ticket Office is answered immediately with a pre recorded message that starts charging the caller as soon as they connect. Now you are a sitting duck. They broadcast some bullshit (that you are paying to hear) then put you on hold for potentially minutes and minutes and minutes. Sometime 30 mins or more. So you could be £5 or £6 in the hole before they answer.
All this without them outlining the potential costs of the call.
Yes that's my point no mention of costs and in this instance the lines were not working but it still put me on hold !
Just the principle of it was wrong
Anyway back to on the field stuff - looking forward to today's game and I wonder what sort of team we will put out ?

Nobody seems to be picking up on the OP's rightful exasperation that the lines were down, yet they still had him on hold ffs!!
That is a shocking fault and needs rectifying immediately to prevent it happening to other unfortunate souls.
Surely a decent letter to Choo with a copy of the bill will get some sort of a response.

Stands to reason
IMO the club do need to consider announcements on their ticket line - even if it is not a 'premium' number it is not a free phone number, and many people will not want to be charged just to listen to these announcements.
There ought to be an option to skip, and go straight through, though of course most people would do that, but not necessarily - if the information was kept relevant or useful!
Tony - you kindly offered to bring this up in the next meeting - perhaps you wouldn't mind making that point / suggestion?
