I don’t think that pen was that bad

If they go in it’s ‘well placed’. If they don’t it’s a ‘poor kick’.

Re: International football: Wales/Cymru v Finland, Belarus and Estonia
Brennan Johnson is looking lively which is good, not a very good penalty from Wilson though

Surely not injured too. I also noticed Mepham wasn’t in the original squad. Is he suspended?

I think we’re playing well up to now, nice passing, playing out from the back, members of the back three pushing forward to augment the attack, it’s like watching City play.

Re: International football: Wales/Cymru v Finland, Belarus and Estonia
Just whacked 38p on Wales to win 1-0 @ 3/1 - Shitting bricks.

I imagine that it may well be as prosaic as no other country in Europe (or the EU at least) willing to host it. I imagine defection fears may play into it.
What is most frustrating is that although it has disadvantaged them it’s disadvantage us as much if not more.
Have enjoyed this for a friendly, we’ve been tidy enough so far.

Been ok, some nice triangles but very little going forward for either team.
Poor pen, no pace and fairly central.
Nil nil this will be, logic dictates.

Re: International football: Wales/Cymru v Finland, Belarus and Estonia
Why are we even risking Ben Davies

Game time I suppose. Who will start on Sunday that is first choice? Ward, Ben Davies, Bale, James. Anyone else?
Are Mepham and Allen available?

Re: International football: Wales/Cymru v Finland, Belarus and Estonia
Ben Woodbines? Thought he'd become a plumber or something..

Just about to say I cannot believe he has brought him on. Idiotic.

Re: International football: Wales/Cymru v Finland, Belarus and Estonia
Thought we played well this evening, created a few good chances and were the better team overall.

Never mind, I know a couple of geezers who had £100 each on dead cert Finland to win at 19/10 :hehe:

Re: International football: Wales/Cymru v Finland, Belarus and Estonia
Yes we played some decent football and better to miss the chances tonight than on Sunday but I suspect it could be just as frustrating in front of goal against Belarus as it was tonight. I think Bale was just upping his cap count, you can’t question his commitment

Re: International football: Wales/Cymru v Finland, Belarus and Estonia
We're starting to see good performances from Levitt and Smith and saw why friendlies are so important: our front three looked like they had never played together before because, well, they hadn't.
Still like Tyler Roberts but he's not a striker and looks so much better when wide or as a 10.
I want us studying Liverpool and Man City to see how to open up teams when player with smaller attackers - pace and clever movement as in our goal away against Belgium recently - rather than just waiting for Moore to come back in.
That again is something that comes in when our players build up connections, a la Bale and Ramsey to open up Turkey, and it's coming but not here yet.
Least important game of the three of course.
