it wont, so is this unit military or police? or just nato training, the idea of a european army or integrated police force is laughable, police forces in england and wales don't do much integrating unless forced to by events

There's five police forces just in Italy, so I can't see it happening any time soon :hehe:

I said it was a rumour, so my backside is covered  But seriously, there are two EU organisations doing interoperability training with police/military from 7 countries. It seems like their main focus is on economic related civil unrest.

Are you here to do a post about the Snoopers Charter? I was listening to Radio 4 earlier, and they were doing a PR piece about how it was going to be good for us :hehe:

It seems the idea goes back to 2005, and they specifically mentioned civil unrest between the haves and the have-nots. Maybe they had prior knowledge of the coming financial collapse of 2007/8?

Somebody senior wrote a report, and he clearly mentioned economic related civil unrest. The report was then used as a catalyst to set up the interoperability training groups. I guess we will know one way or the other about their purpose if things ever kick off. In the meantime, go and stick your head back in the sand

Actually, thinking about it, the retail sales are also measured in £- so wouldn't these also be artificially inflated by a weak £?
So of the 3 things you mentioned 2 aren't a genuine effect.
The remaining one is unemployment and that was already decreasing and so can't be considered an effect of Brexit either.

Fair play, it's hard to come back with anything critical in the face of such extensively researched material as that isn't it :hehe:.

It's like Sky on transfer deadline day and their unknown sources.
I can imagine Gluey lapping it up.

Laugh all you want. The vote for a EU army received a majority result yesterday. A source said they will be a rapid response combat units with expertise is less-lethal weapons, specifically FN 303's. You don't have to be a genius to know that "less-lethal" weapons are designed for use against civilian populations.

The Snoopers Charter is going to be good for all of us. Especially those who are *currently* doing nothing wrong.

Since when has it become de rigueur to provide a bibliography when engaging in general chit-chat on football message board? I'm not here to educate people or change opinions, I am merely mentioning in passing some of the things that I came accross.
I am well aware of the high levels of cognitive dissonance and confirmation bias affecting the population at large, so with regards to personal knowledge, I think it is best left to the individual to conduct their own research however they see fit and without influence.
I have also noted that the last 3 responses were personal attacks that completely avoided what was actually being said. Argumentum ad hominem is a logical fallacy, and a technique most commonly used by idiots.
