If he was to keep us up, he would be retiring with his reputation as high as it has ever been and, even if we went down, our relegation would only be seen as confirmation of what many thought anyway (he can't manage at Premier League level), but even they would have to concede that, especially in view of the jobs he did at Rotherham and Cardiff at an age when he was eligible for the state pension, he was a miracle worker at Championship level.
