I lead walks in the Quantocks and in the area around Watchet/Carhampton/Dunster. Very pleasurable.

Florida died a death quite a few years ago, and is quite frankly outdated and tacky as ****. Each to their own though.
Your gloating of receiving money is pretty poor form as well. Again, each to their own.

not sure disney is dated, they have spent alot of money to make sure of that, if you find it tacky, then who am i to argue with that, each to their own, with park numbers fairly steady over the years and visitor numbers on the rise, that seems to imply that its neither dated or tacky either, but once again, each to their own eh
of course, you might visit others parts of florida, i dont, i enjoy disney
gloating ? ? ?
no gloating from me, i was just happy to have been helped by the government, not sure thats gloating, others on here said they were furloughed, were they gloating ? ? ? i was simply pointing out that the money was burning a hole in my pocket as i have nothing to spend it on

I've only been there to see the place itself and to see an outdoor performance of a Shakespeare play. I often get my groups to partake of their mid-walk picnic in the grounds just outside the castle where one can enter free of charge.

Do the rest of your group pay an entrance fee?

Admission to the part of the grounds near the car park is free to all and sundry. As I am not royalty I use the word 'one' in this context for all of us plebs.

Once your over there no one really cares to be honest.

Re: Who's Booking Holidays ?
A statement of the obvious perhaps, but it's a very strange world we're living in right now. About a week ago I was reading an article highlighting the fact that Transport for Wales are reminding passengers at train stations like Aberdare and Abercynon that their services are still for essential travel only. Meanwhile, people are happily flying off to Spain and Greece on holiday.
The notion that we're all in this together has been utter bollocks from the start and it's only seemed more ridiculous as time has progressed.

Re: Who's Booking Holidays ?
for the guys down west wales, do you have a issue with " wild campers " at the mo
we have visitors from cornwall at the mo ( our ex next door neighbours, the policeman i often mention ) and i asked him if its a issue in conwall, as around here in alot of pub car parks / laybys etc etc we have a few campervans parked up nightly , he said that its massive down cornwall, people have purchased campervans / motorhomes and are just touring cornwall and stopping anywhere over night, one night last week in the carpark near watergate bay ( we surf at watergate bay and then eat at the cafe " wax " ) they had 14 campervans overnight

They are strange times, and people are not distancing and getting pissed in the local pubs.
It will spike again soon and then most flights will be stopped through quarantines and pubs will also have to close again.

I don't think there's any guarantee of that. All the things that were supposed to cause spikes like VE Day, thousands of people flocking to the beaches during the hot weather, the BLM demonstrations, etc, never actually did any damage as far as I'm aware. The scientists and governments have got a huge amount wrong throughout this pandemic. They seem to change their minds regarding the effects of the virus on a weekly basis. It could be that a significant proportion of the advice we've been following since the outset has actually been either pointless or ineffective.

The essential travel advice was lifted on Monday.

Monday - many weeks after the shops and pubs reopened. Meanwhile, people have been jetting off on foreign holidays for months.

Not sure it’s ever been such a big problem in Pembrokeshire, there are so many places you could go and get away with it, it’s not as over crowded as Cornwall. I wouldn’t take a camper over Tenby way but there are some lovely quiet spots nearby if you know where to go, broad haven south for instance. If you go up to north Pembs you could easily get away with it as the police aren’t aren’t around early to catch you.

Nice attitude....lol
As for Disney being outdated some of it is 50 years old next year but other parts like Pandora, galaxy edge are brand new, hardly tacky are they? Cutting edge stuff....some of the best beaches I’ve ever been to in the world around the gulf coast also. Reasonably priced food beer etc, great weather and not too crowded, what not to like?

Oh i wasnt thinking of it, I would do it, but the wife woudlnt entertain the idea of it, at Putsborough beach in Devon, the car park on the beach has spaces for campervans, its about a 10'er a night and they have a outside shower, ideal for the surfers, I know a guy who has a VW Splitty and he is always camped in the carpark, he has a small BBQ and thats it

They will eventually say that there is little/no danger when attending outside events. I think the whole behind closed door and cancelled concerts thing will have been deemed worthless.

It was in poor taste and was evidently gloating. No doubt some people here are worried about their own jobs, may have lost jobs, may have lost wages.
Whilst blue matt says the money is burning a hole in his pocket, he also posted a thread last night about claiming the next batch of money. Maybe, since he has cash to burn, he could help out with something like a food bank rather than boasting here, but that would require something he doesn't have. An ounce of dignity.
