It’s interesting that there appears to be a lot more information about the 800,000+ vaccinations in England and not much after posting only 35,000 in Wales and the challenging logistical issues being faced by Mr Gethins team
Did Wales actually order the number of vaccines required or is there a more straightforward answer

There arent enough trained NHS staff to deliver the vaccinations. Those who have experience of delivering vaccinations are finding that there are a huge number of hurdles to get over (Level 1 and Level 2 qualifications) that means red tape is holding back delivery. BJ has waffled through his interview with Andrew Marr this morning claiming that NHS will get rid of such red tape to speed the process of vaccination delivery up. For those who havent realised, BJ doesnt do preparation. Its surprising he turned up for the interview this morning. That's another of his tactics. Ditto, not enough trained NHS staff to staff the HDU only Nightingale hospitals effectively. But they look good on tv. Suffice to say these temporary hospitals are not geared up for non-Covid patients and are not suitable for general overflow situations......unless a lot more money is spent on basic facilities that you would expect in hospitals.

My wife is due to have her first jab this week. Colleagues of hers who have appointments this week for their second, have had texts this morning cancelling those appointments.
I guess this is because the gap is now being extended, but whether that gives enough time for those appointments to be filled I'm not that confident.

Are we using them?.....No. . In Wales I understand the Blood transfusion service is being used to move the vaccines around. With great respect to it this is not its area of expertise
It's hard to get data on the number of vaccines in Wales, but seems that Wales has taken delivery of 200,000 Pfizer doses and 20,000 AZ
We're still miles ahead of most European countries, when it comes to the vaccine. Most front-line NHS staff in Wales has already had the first jab. We're getting there.
