Just reading now that the rehydration clause was apparently 162 on the day of the fight. Up the weight to 160 and the clause to 165, Jr should make that and problem solved!

Eubank Snr definitely trying to get the fight called off due to the catchweight.
I think this is getting called off.
The British Boxing Board are going have to monitor this. If Snr who was due to be in the corner is saying the weight and rehydration clause is dangerous then I cant see how it goes ahead.
I was just thinking why not give both fighters 5lb leeway from a catch-weight of 160?
Benn never going to make 160 but would do 155 ok I reckon. Allow Eubank 165 fully rehydrated, with both fighters weighed an hour before the fight.
If Eubank is over 165, fight is off and he pays compensation to Benn. Likewise, if Benn is below 155.
Obviously Benn is still at a disadvantage but probably more comfortable and he's obviously happy to concede weight. Jr is definitely able to make 165 without trouble if he makes the effort.
Benn can literally do whatever weight he wants below 157. I reckon he walks around heavier than that. The weight isnt an issue.
The big issue is Eubank jnr safely making the weight after rehyrdating. His father is saying its not safe and the BBBOC will really have to look at it now.
Benn usually fights at 147 so even 155 is half a stone above his optimum weight. He looks like he's been working towards the extra anyway though so 155 wouldn't be an issue.
Eubank can make 165 safely and fully hydrated. The concern was 162 and I know 3lb isn't much, but he's fought 165 previously so he can do it if he puts down the bargain bucket :hehe:
