What a blow.
Good to see Davies on the bench, thought he liked bright in the development game.

That's us f ucked. And I was quietly confident.

Re: COVENTRY CITY v CARDIFF CITY. Match thread
No Strikers?
In a team that doesn’t score any goals?
We are back into Mad Mick and his 5 centre halves territory here

Re: COVENTRY CITY v CARDIFF CITY. Match thread
3 - 0 - hope I'm wrong but I think robins is a good manager.

Dont understand how Philogene gets picked. He was awful v QPR.
Need Colwill to step up tonight. He's our only chance.

No leader on the pitch and no strikers. This looks like it could go very badly for us. 3:0 to CCFC (TM).

Hudson said Etete was struggling but no mention that Robinson was.

Philogene was starting to look very good before the break and surgery. He is just working his way back.
But that looks a toothless team. Hudson mentioned a knock for Etete (without suggesting he would miss out today) but no hints of a problem for Robinson.
This is the second game where Luthra has got the bench goalkeeper job. Just rotation or is Alnwick looking for a move?

hopefully it's just a case of a minor knock rather than a descent into a Mick McCarthy style weirdness where we start playing more and more defenders

Hard to see that line up scoring to be honest.
Colwill out wide again???

Or he plays as the main striker with Philogene and Harris wide.

Not sure Hudson is one to “try” something, I’m sure he will be wide.

Re: COVENTRY CITY v CARDIFF CITY. Match thread
No goals will be scored by men based in Cardiff today. Best we can hope for is a bore draw.

Re: COVENTRY CITY v CARDIFF CITY. Match thread
Fans bemoan absence of duds who can’t score and resigned to team not scoring.

They get picked week in week out because they're better than their team mates.

Darn red button not working again or is late at least.

Re: COVENTRY CITY v CARDIFF CITY. Match thread
Working for me. Needed to do some weird playing around with the right arrow to find how to select the match tho.

That's weird. Only two games showing on mine and not ours.

It's just popped up now.

Re: COVENTRY CITY v CARDIFF CITY. Match thread
Decent first quarter of an hour, good pressing, passing and wing play, O'Dowda in particular.
Still giving the ball away too easily which is a worry.
Can see why we don't score many though and don't really look a threat in front of goal.

Robinson is far from a dud and Etete scored a goal recently. Let’s see how it goes but it’s not like we’ve brought anyone that can score in (guaranteed that they will now)
