Yes, that's how it is for me. I am anticipating another season of crap football, trying to avoid relegation, but I'll be there

I’d be willing to bet that almost all of the people you regard as being overly negative are season ticket holders who have already renewed. Pretty much all of my friends who are season ticket holders believe the club is currently in a terrible mess, but all have renewed. It’s not a vote of confidence in the club. It’s just what they do.
Yeah maybe I didn't word as well as I could - what I meant was people aren't consumed by the state of the club they recognise it's a mess but still crack on and support the club - as you say it what we do - I didn't even think about not renewing - I've been following the club too long to think I have any influence on the running of the club - I've put up with shit sides hooliganism red shirts debt etc etc but still renew without a single thought
There are some posters on here and they can be prolific posters who take every opportuntiy to have a fig at the club and will turn the most innocuous thread into a dig at the club - I don't know if they go to games or not but it is all a little depressing on here to be honest hence why I don't post much or come on here much
That's all 👍

I am not sure I know any posters on here personally I may or may not - certainly not any who use their proper names so I couldn't comment on their attendance at games
As for the forthcoming season then like you I am excited and can't wait to get back to watching games but then I'm always excited for the start of the season - blind faith really rather than any evidence base
👍

Sometimes it might come across as this board being the barometer of the mood of the club and it's not
I suspect the board is made up of a handful of prolific posters and others who dip in and out
Just my humble opinion of course
One thing the club have got right for years is season ticket pricing. Season tickets now may even cheaper than when we were at ninian park.
Its 279 for adults. Ive got a feeling the grange end was 299 or 319 at ninian park?
You only need to attend 10 or 11 games out of the 23 to get your money back with a season ticket so anyone who is thinking of going at all should get one. Plus eligibility for away games etc....

With the new TV deal you may find yourself shopping , mowing , DIY quite a lot on Saturday afternoons.

Not renewing didn’t enter my head. It’s going to be a strong league and I’m hoping we can compete. Again, there is no evidence of this I can see beyond my wishful thinking but if you haven’t got that you may as well go to B&Q every week.

That really is fantastic value isn’t it , and to break even after 11 games really demonstrates this.
If I was marketing the remaining sales target set by the club, I’d focus on this bit, they would probably shift 4/5,000 more than the current 11,000 plus figure.
I think where they have missed a trick is the up front costs, perhaps they could arrange an instalment based payment method and tap into the student fan base.

A bit of positivity - over 11000 sold by this morning, so thats actually nearly 1000 sold in the last 24 hours.

Only if the 11k figure is actually true.
On Weds morning there were 10,847 tickets left for sale on the site, this morning there is 10,508. So according to the seat map we've sold 339 STs in 48 hours.

Re: Season ticket sales- good news for those looking to move seats!
Is there a list somewhere showing how many we have sold each season?
-
Re: Season ticket sales- good news for those looking to move seats!
It was around 14500 start of last season
I hope the club don't get complacent , get a decent manager in and tan funds some quality out of contract signings
I take my hat off to the season ticket holders I think the club are extremely lucky so many have supported them given the shambles on and off the pitch

Ok so I guess we would expect a bit less than that this time - 13000?

Does that include premier seats?

People have short memories and in the case of CCFC recently that's great
I see no reason given sales at present why an exciting managerial appointment and new faces on the pitch can match last year's total

That's everything available on the website. Main bowl and corporate hospitality including Level 3 and Level 4 as well as the lounges.

So what’s the maximum amount of season tickets available, 21,500 ?

Not sure where you're getting the idea from that I'm excited about next season and can't wait to get back to watching games. On the contrary, the polar opposite is true. Most of the games last season were like watching wood warp. City were dreadful for the most part and the standard of the Championship was abysmal. The post-match social side suffered a bit as result and I'm already enjoying the break. Plenty to do this summer, so I'm looking forward to taking advantage of the weather and the time away from football. August will be here more than soon enough.
One of my closest friends bought a season ticket today for the first time since the rebrand. She came to a few games with me last season, enjoyed the days out despite the football itself, a seat a couple away from mine became available when the deadline passed for renewals (her old seat prior to 2012/13, in fact), so she decided this morning to take it. That decision had little or nothing to do with any optimism or pessimism about the season ahead. She just decided the time had come to return, as I did this time last year.

If only LOM had that attitude...
Don't give up, I enjoy reading your stuff. This thread is a good example, some interesting discussion.

Re: Season ticket sales- good news for those looking to move seats!
I renewed as normal, as I always say it’s 90 minutes in the middle of a good day out. If I attempted to miss a home game on purpose to test the water, I’d most probably be fretting on the blowing of the final whistle knowing I’d be missing the little gathering and hand wringing we have post match. I’m convincing myself more than ever it’s the drink that’s keeping me going.:hehe:
