Don't be daft it's far bigger these days
We would often be lucky to get 10000 here or at the vetch 20 years ago
We will be pushing 30000 for the game on Saturday and if we were heading for promotion it would be a sell out
Whilst there is very little bother off the pitch the intensity is still there
It's ridiculous to suggest it was more important in the past

By some distance
People may not like it but Swansea have been the most successful team in South Wales since the early eighties including 7 successive seasons in the top flight
If anyone is insignificant .....its us !

More than that if you include their stay under Toshack.

Yeah, The ground is like a phone box. Some decent pubs in Shepherds bush, and if you like Thai food, some nice reasonably priced places in Hammersmith.

You don't like the Swansea game yet you travel to a pokey little ground in North West London to have a few beers
Jesus Christ Tony you have lost the plot

It’s not just about 90 minutes football, it’s about quality time with family & friends

The Swansea game is awful, way too much riding on it, we rarely perform or actually win the game, and it's a bubble. A trip to West London with all the trappings is good fun.

The QPR away trip has a lot more going for it than the all dayer to the Liberty, believe me.

Having been to both I think it's a close one

But that's not answering the point as to what is the biggest game of the season for Cardiff City
It's Swansea

It's Swansea
It's Bristol by a mile.

It's still a big game I give you that, and I meant to say the intensity is dying, there is normally less aggression than in the past and after the game. This one might bring some of that back mind, I think we'll beat them and our fans will love it if we do!
I was talking to young Bluebirds yesterday they are meeting at 9:00 am for breakfast in Canton then all day on it then go to the match, not sure how many will make it, and probably none will remember it!

I worked in Bristol too for a while, and far less animosity from their fans, they don't like us but Swansea fans are bred to hate us with a vengeance.
Re: Cardiff vs Swansea in two days?
It's as big as it's always been. Should be a hell of an atmosphere.
Just in recent years, it's been so one-sided that it's become a fixture lots of us don't look forward to
Hope that tomorrow changes that!

I worked in Steve Lansdown's company for 20 years and they definitely hated not only City but all Welsh there.

Each to his own but sitting on a bus for hours on end for a game thirty odd miles away is not my cup of tea.
