I know, it seems like the opposite has happened with money back from insurance and possibly a lot more from Nantes this year, the sulking and whinging about lost money is over and we can all witness a few more years dysfunctional ineptitude running a football club, buckle up, here we go again, pool, citeh, united n arsenal….we are coming for you……
Re: Vincent Tan flies in for talks and target closes in on move
The main issue has always been someone to score and someone to set them up.
This time last year Lamouchi had Sorry Kaba and Wickham come in and suddenly Philogene improved, and so did Ojo and the rest, we scraped together enough goals to just about stay up.
This season we lost the best two attacking players but had Bowler, O'Dowda, and Ugbo upfront and Ramsey, we looked better than we had done for many years and the talk started of a potential playoff place, certainly a strong top-half finish.
We all know what's changed, Rambo and O'Dowda injured, Bulut wanted suitable alternatives and a decent Striker, so he's gutted he missed out on Bakasetas and others and will probably miss out on Moore.
Bulut needs support if he is going to build on his first three months with us, no manager can get this current set of forward players pulling up any trees they are just not good enough.
Tan needs to realise this and they need a good strategy to move forward together, even if it's waiting until the summer and a full window with more player options.
