Indeed. My worry for Saturday is the fact that Bristol haven't won away since 9th November. Their away record since then is: Played 8, Won 0, Drawn 4, Lost 4.

Re: CARDIFF CITY v BRISTOL CITY. Match thread
As I am being, probably rightly, of over reacting to Portsmouth, I will accept that in this Championship almost anything is possible.
Probably 3 of our better performances have come against our local rivals so perhaps my pessimism about Bristol Saturday is unfounded.
Come on you Bluebirds!!

From Riza today:
Robertson out with a hamstring injury but hopefully back for Plymouth.
Daland has had 8 stitches in his shin and is still out.
Ramsey and Meite available.
Tanner out with a broken foot.
-
Re: CARDIFF CITY v BRISTOL CITY. Match thread
Best case scenario for Daland that, was worried that there'd be a lot more damage from how it looked. Thank God Meite is back... surely now with other options out wide and up front he's nowhere close to the squad?

He has to start, if he gets injured again so be it but if he's fit he simply has to play.

A shout for Colwill maybe? I know that we've done him to death on here, but he didn't do anything wrong when he came on at Pompey.

A ringing endorsement if ever there was one :hehe:
If the game completely breaks down, he's great. I'd play him because he might do something which is more than can be said about the other options.

A Cardiff City player has a hamstring injury, I am stunned

With Ramsey apparently fit, surely the midfield has to be him, Chambers and Colwill.

:hehe: It wan't a criticism of him. He came on, looked neat, didn't **** anything up. That's where we're at, if you do 'Ok' then you're in with a shout.

I wouldn't mind this, I would be tempted to keep Robinson in instead of Salech though

That was in the 5/6 game spell where we looked good. Nobody had worked out that you had to man mark him, he absolutely tore them to bits in the second half, so Riza put him up front and completely nullified that threat :hehe:

Robinson has to play, only 3 players have more goals than him in the entire division. He's also our best player and has 8 more goals than anyone else in the squad :hehe:

100% He's our top goalscorer, we actually have a recognised threat when he's on it and people want to drop him ....... Hello.......

Agreed. When writing the team sheet out, you start with Callum Robinson and then pick the other 10! He's someone you actually have to think about if you're the opposition.

It's crackers, isn't it. If I sat down any city fan and asked them for at least one success story this season, then surely Robinson would be mentioned frequently.

We have actually got a goalscorer, we're terrible and he isn't! As I've said, only 3 players have more goals than him and he's scored all his from open play. He is the one area of the team we don't have to worry about

It’s a squad game and how are we going to see what Salech, a natural Centre forward can Doug he isn’t starting games?
I’m not saying we drop Robinson from the squad, March him out the building or banish him to the wilderness
Robinson can play anywhere in the front four, personally I think he’ll have more impact playing behind a CF
Colwill pulled Stoke apart and when he came on at Portsmouth soon had to drop back from a 10, to another unfamiliar role
He deserves a start on Saturday as a 10, and Salech should get the chance to show what he can do from the start
As I said, personally after that pathetic performance on Tuesday, I’d shake it up a bit, no one should be guaranteed a starting place after two shit league performances in my view
But each to their own

Salech is going to have to earn his stripes from the bench. You cannot drop or accommodate our best player. Salech might have to play up front with Robinson in a 2 but Robinson has to play there, he's the only player that scores

Matchday programme for Saturday. Do you think the use of a cover with blue and white quarters was intended?

The joint third top scorer in the league has to start against Bristol city, that's all i'm saying. Salech can be introduced and earn his way in like any other player ha to do, unless they're proven. Colwill didn't pull stoke apart, i don't think anyone has said that, he did well enough though, and capped it off with two goals, the first an excellent finish. He did pretty well against Portsmouth for 30 minutes, nothing spectacular, but well enough (in my opinion) to maybe get a start on Saturday. Oddly enough, i'm the only person on here who has said as much (Before you) We shall see.

Robinson is the first name on your team sheet
Out of interest who else would you start with tomorrow?
