Added Guillain-Barré syndrome [GBS] as a very rare side effect.

I suffered this illness when i was 21, not due to a vaccine i believe, but i did have some shots to go to Saudi Arabia around this time when i went down with [GBS] i had convinced myself I was suffering with multiple sclerosis. I saw so many doctors in my local Practise, Infirmary and the Heath and none of them could diagnose my illness, it was being suggested that i was going mad :hehe:
I eventually ended up managing to see an acupuncturist in the North East (I was working up there) who sent me away with a sealed envelope and told me to make sure it reached a particular specialist in the HEATH, I came back home and went to the heath with the letter and eventually i did get to the the doc. When they did the test to complete the diagnosis ( a lumber puncture) the doc. told me at that time i was only the 4th person he had seen with this condition and he arranged for about 30 odd other docs to come and examine me so they could learn the symptoms, it is still rare but because of modern diagnosis it is picked up and is far more common now. A part of the recovery included having to learn to walk properly again, yes i could walk but very unbalanced, this was done in the pool at the heath.
I'm not ill that often but when i do ill, i do it properly!!!

Man, that’s awful!!
I know a girl who had GBS.
She was a lovely, active lass who had just started teaching then she got struck down with it one day.
She spent months in hospital, she had to learn to walk and talk again.

I’ve not seen her in years, but I believe that she has made a full recovery.

It sounds absolutely brutal.
