Were there ever any of those? I don’t recall anyone on here being particularly enthusiastic about his appointment, I think we all thought his lack of experience could eventually cost us this season
Re: Have they just left riza in charge this long to humiliate him?
No team at league one level would take him.
Unfortunately he’s not going to walk, as getting sacked will give him a payout that he’s not likely to get a chance of again. He’d a dead man walking but none of us would walk, in his shoes.
Unfortunately I don’t think we’ll sack him either.
I think we are resigned to being relegated

It's very unkind to keep embarrassing him like this every week. Surely they have some compassion and will put him out of his misery!!
it always amusing how little sense of perspective people on here have after a loss.
losing narrowly to a relegation rival is not a humiliation.
even if we get relegated that's not really a humiliation for Riza.
where will he end up next? I have no idea, there are some positives he can point to during his time here and I'm sure he'll find another club pretty quickly after us.

I think the chances of that job being a managerial one at any Football League club is near zero.

Genuinely given his CV what level do you think he would be appointed at as manager?
And given how he's so clearly stabbed managers in the back as a coach it would be a very brave manager to have him anywhere near them as a coach.

If Riza is a manager at a league club not called Cardiff City, I will be stunned. He's clearly not up to the task, and neither are our players.

I very much doubt that occurred
Re: Have they just left riza in charge this long to humiliate him?
If Vincent was still remotely interested there were probably a few points of the season under Riza he would have been tempted to sack and spin his roulette wheel again. We always seemed to grab a point or a win in the matches against hull, Swansea and Blackburn that just improved the mood and situation enough.
It's now far far too late to bother, unless it's someone well respected (which it almost certainly wouldn't be).
Just have to hope we can win at least 2 of the next 4 :hehe:

Poor bugger, even Eric's dropping him now he can see he's taking us down :hehe:
He'll change history, I never thought he was any good, blah blah blah.

This season, and most of the ones that preceded it since 2019, has been a humiliation for Vincent Tan - relegation would take over the last vestiges of any argument that he hasn’t turned us into a worse club than the one he took over.

Would look so different, if he had prioritised getting the best Manager he could each time.

But then we wouldn't have appointed Erol Bulut :hehe:
Re: Have they just left riza in charge this long to humiliate him?
They’ve left him in charge because if he was sacked, our board would have to look for a new manager and they probably cant be bothered if they have other business interests to look after. As for tan, if you are in your seventies and practically a billionaire, are you that bothered if one of your businesses is losing money?

A decent league 1 team? We will concede ever more in league 1 if we keep defending like this against tougher and more direct teams.
I agree.
Why would Riza be an adequate L1 manager? There is zero evidence to suggest that.
He would need to follow a similar path to Morison if he wants a career in management.
