I'm not sure what (if anything) can be done with this lot at this stage. Is there really a genuine scope to switch anything around or do anything clever in tactical terms? The fact that West Brom and Norwich have also binned their managers suggests that second-guessing how they are going to line up and play will also be very difficult.
When Ramsey was given three games to lead the team, I just saw it as a case of hoping he and Gunter, etc, can lift morale a little and get a bit more out of the players in terms of effort and perhaps organisation. But I don't think it's possible to do much different with this squad in terms of tactics.

Re: CARDIFF CITY v W.B.A. Match thread
Just checked our recent record against West Brom. Not great. Four draws and three defeats in the last seven encounters.
The last time we beat West Brom was at the CCS in January 2020. The City team that evening contained no less than five players who've played against us this season: Joe Bennett, Callum Paterson, Curtis Nelson, Will Vaulks and Marlon Pack. Josh Murphy was on the bench but didn't get on.

All who have played more than 25 games in the championship this year except Joe Bennett (10), and will be likely staying up...

Robinson's out, and sounds like El Ghazi's played his last game for us.

Re: CARDIFF CITY v W.B.A. Match thread
As much as Willock gets stick and deservedly so he is the only player in our entire club who can cross a ball so for that reason I'd have him in.

he was ok against Oxford, if only he could have picked his spot in that early chance

Agree with this, it's solely management by vibes.

whereas Ashford was strangely reluctant to take his man on at times, despite being up against a 35 year old Joe Bennett

Perhaps he was a fan of Joe’s while he was here and was a bit overawed as a result. 🤣

Ah, that would have sounded funnier if you'd said it the other way around :hehe:

I remember when Hartson played for West Brom, and Robson was their manager.
Think we beat them 2.0 .
Memories..always a comfort to.look back on.

The match that Hartson took the stick from the crowd ended 1-1, we did beat Birmingham around about the same time 2-0, no Hartson in their line up though.

The stick hartson got that night was quite something. Not sure I've ever heard anything like it before or since.

Re: CARDIFF CITY v W.B.A. Match thread
I’d put Bagan at left back and push O’Dowda forward. I’d stick with Willock and drop Ashford and if he’s ineffective, I’d bring Davies on. I’m not sure I’d play Robertson as I don’t think he’s played that well in the last 2 games but I don’t t know who I’d replace him with.

I thought Robertson was much better in the last 2 games then in the ones immediately prior
Is Davies fit?

Look, Omar, you’ve had your chance, now leave it to someone else to sort out :hehe:
Isn’t Davies out ?
