This is how people ran football clubs in the 90's.

I get it that High-Pants and Slimy shouldn't be let anywhere near team selection and style, but even this type of compromise is not enough to ensure genuine progress.

It's basically what happened with Warnock. It's short-termism.

Surprised Ramsey seems to be interested in the job, but, if he is, then it’s a bit of an open goal for Tan. Ramsey’s post game comments make it sound like he would want assurances from the club on the coaching side, but maybe not when it comes to recruitment. Would he have the contacts to get us some good loans from the likes of Arsenal?

Chris Davies and Kieran McKenna had no experience before they got a chance at League 1 level.

And it's 'recruitment' that has got us into league 1. I honestly think it's getting worse as the seasons go on. Daland came on for 20 minutes and was a disaster waiting to happen, Goutas can't be trusted either and his little mate has gone back to Greece, Robertson looks like an apprentice and Salech ? Seriously he may get onto a couple of crosses but he looks like he's running with a ball and chain attached. With Deboys & Co. and their 'scientific' approach to recruitment it doesn't matter what league we're in, we'll struggle at any level.

It could be that Cardiff fans have a bit too much emotion invested in Aaron, I've always been a bit gutted that he didn't start the FA Cup final game but that was back then, I saw squat today that he could turn the misfits into a team, I know Jack about football but he'd not be my manager of choice

Pretty honest that interview from Rambo to be fair. Basically said that the structure's wrong and the coaches aren't good enough

Don't think anyone involved in this seasons debacle deserves to be rewarded with any coaching or managerial position. Wipe the slate clean and try and bring in someone tidy asap.

Ramsey as a coach: interesting. As Head Coach/Manager: a non-starter. As TLG puts it, to suggest otherwise vindicates Riza's "clueless" comments.

Cardiff City needs someone at the helm with real experience, someone who's proven they can deliver and stick around. The Bulut appointment, remember, was supposed to be this carefully considered, future-focused move, yet it was just a one-year deal. That speaks volumes.

Looking back at the last five-plus years post-Premier League, and even before, we were incredibly fortunate to get Warnock when the Trollope experiment spectacularly failed and by some miracle he galvanised the club, papered over the cracks and got City promoted. With that said, again considering the last five or so year, frankly, there's little faith the board will make the right decision to steer Cardiff in the right direction now. Everything points the other way.

Utterly clueless. You’ve lost your mind in recent months.

Give an ex-player a break?!? For starters, he’s a current player (or supposed to be). He’s a rich man, he doesn’t need a bastard break.

This is a professional football club. It needs to start acting like one. It desperately needs a proper managerial and coaching set-up, not all this romantic Ramsey bollocks.

Ramsey’s signing had been an expensive disaster. Time to say thanks and goodbye, and get on with putting a proper structure in place.

Neutral on Ramsey, he clearly has the heart and a decent head on his shoulders compared to most former-players, but I don't know if he's the guy I'd bring in straight away. We need experience, and honestly, Ramsey needs someone to shadow that's more than Omar Riza. I think we need experience more than anything else.

My reply was to CWL who wanted someone with experience. Plenty of coaches have tried a managerial role and have floundered. One of our most experienced recent managers took us on a record run of defeats and played five centre-backs. Any appointment wouldn't be perfect. It's a fair point about Ramsey and it's likely not his time. Maybe we've been starved of managers who sound relatively intelligent and thus easily swayed.

Bear with me on this, and this is a bold tactic, how about we appoint a manager who's actually achieved something recently in the game rather than our track record of has beens and chancers?

Davies had been assistant manager to Brendan Rogers at Celtic and Leicester. McKenna was assistant to Jose Mourinho at Man Utd. Any comparison with Ramsey is frankly ridiculous.

We also need the club to match these qualities, and back the new man with a thought out sensible strategy for the immediate future.
If it was up to me, I’d try to get Liam Rosenior back from France. A big ask for him to come back and manage in League 1, but to me, with the right backing, he has all the credentials to give us a bit of a brighter future.

Retiring players moving into management have to start somewhere and it’s a lower league job now. Knowing Tan it could be someone a lot worse than giving Ramsey a go,

Rosenior has just today signed a renewed contract with Strasbourg. Why the hell would he swap that to work in league 1 and for this circus?

And as for asking the club to be forward thinking. That’s like asking Stevie Wonder to read the small print on a pay day loan contract.
