Mannsverk was slow and mechanical and a bit predictable. He had one pace in every aspect of his game and thinking, when what we probably needed was some intensity and urgency in the middle (easy for me to say in hindsight though) Alves has attributes, he's young, very raw, but he reminded me of a wind up toy where the mechanics only allowed it to do circles. remember those two young lads from Everton under slade? sure there were two of them? wide players, contributed bugger all without really looking like poor players. Maybe there was only one...... :hehe:
You are spot on Dennis. He has done nothing and hasn’t helped himself by continually passing sideways and backwards and not tackling anyone. Really strange.
Lots of other names on this post have done something of note, but simply not often enough (Revell, Daehli, Alves, Ojo) but Turnbull? Absolutely nothing. Just a waste of a squad place. And yet lots of people still think that he is a really good player. Weird.

That's a shout Splotty, What the **** was all that about? Remember that ginger scottish fullback around the same time? He was a nothing player as well. Can't remember his name, from one of the Dundee clubs i think.

Dikgacoi :hehe: i remember holding out some hope with him. Sadly, he was fat, slow and not interested. Who was that player who went on to become a Priest? That's what this club can do to ex players....

Not a player but the club chaplain, Fr Joe Jordan outed for using his hands in an even more disgusting way than his Scottish centre forward namesake.

Madine got 2 big assists that season. He obviously wasn't even decent but we did get promoted so I am prepared to give that signing some leeway

I can honestly say that until he actually makes any form of valuable contribution, then it's almost impossible for me to have any kind of opinion on him as a footballer. I don't want to make this thread about Turnbull though, he's just an example of what i'm after really (as the heading suggests) i'll throw in another one-Stuart o Keefe. We seemingly had out fair share of 'No Impression' players under Slade. Any more? i would have thought so...
I’ve never known such an overrated player as Turnbull, fans on twitter talk about him like he scores screamers every other week and how he’s due to put one in the top corner.
In reality his only goal came from the rebound of a penalty he missed. Hes defensively poor, he has no assists, he’s slow and can’t press.

Andreas Cornelius, not looked through the Fred, but if he isn't included he should be.

He certainly made an impression on me :hehe:

Isaac Vassell, must have cost a fortune in medical bills and painkillers.

Re: Players who make/made no impression.
What's the criteria for this? Some players were probably victims of circumstance. For instance, Andy Thompson, played a couple of games, got ligament damage and was out for the season. Michael Simpkins on the other hand - here for a while and...[shrug].
Also, Jermaine Darlington, but we were a bit desperate and trying to get a squad together.

Who was that defender who came from Derby I think.
He was injured a lot before he came to us, managed about 20 minutes for us before getting injured and was never seen again, went to an Israeli club I think.
It's come back to me while I was typing. Dekel Keinan
Edit
I'm confusing two different players, it wasn't Keinan
