Re: Club statement on the recruitment process
If a new manager was going to be appointed in the next few days, there would be no need for this statement.

I disagree, I reckon it’s all but done and they’ve stuck this out now so they have the bonus of being great communicators
Re: Club statement on the recruitment process
The whole board can do one.
Complete embarrassment all of them.

Agreed, City fans that I know who are fairly relaxed about the goings on behind the scenes, have really started to lose patience with Tan and Co

Just stay calm and relaxed and act like grown ups for a change.

Re: Club statement on the recruitment process
It's actually quite comedic. Talk of the 'pulse' of the club etc. But the disheartening aspect of the statement is it shows how detached the club is from the realities of running a football club. It seems as if they view this appointment as some sort of re-birth or turning point in the club's future, when all we needed is an experienced manager to get the club into the play offs [at minimum] next season, and to help put the squad together. It's indicative from fans' comments such as 'he'll be OK but I would happier with x', that supporters know that any one of several could do the job with the right players. Not Cardiff City though, they have to over-analyse, over-think everything - much in the same way they say they're now going about player recruitment. When this Svengali arrives and City struggle mid table I wonder if he'll be sent on his way - then again someone this good and crucial to the club's success is not going to have a 12 month contract. Clowns, utter clowns..
Re: Club statement on the recruitment process
Yeah. The Trust and all fan groups should just declare total non confidence in the idiots stop meeting them and start organised protests whatever they are until they start running the club probably.
(And when I say protests I don't necessarily mean yelling Tan Out - with no idea who would come in - outside the ground when hes miles away. Boycotts , ST refunds alongside visible protests)

Jordan just likes to go against the grain of public opinion, regardless of wether he contradicts himself in the process or not. Jim is forever calling out his double standards and he just worms out of it with word salad. Whenever he comes up against someone who actually know what their talking about - Darragh Mcanthony and Michael Jarman to name two - they have his pants down.

Let’s get back to the point in hand. For all the griping, moaning and criticism of the club. If any member of this board were put in charge of running Cardiff City on a day to day basis, including all financial aspects, choosing a board, choosing a manager etc we’d be extinct in less than 5 yrs with a Lidls or Aldi’s sitting proudly on the current CCS site.

I think there’s quite a few on here, including myself, who would have done a better job than Tan if they had the same financial resources as him. I said I would because I would choose specialists to cover all aspects of the off field functioning of the club and then let them get on with their jobs just as I would do with the manager and coaching staff.

So you cant have an opinion and point out when something is clearly wrong unless you have experience in the subject your commenting on?. What utter drivel. Theyve admitted in thier own statement this is taking far long than it should have. The club is a joke, I dont need to be on the Forbes list to know that.
Whats your proffesional boxing credentials? You have plenty of opinions on boxing?
Re: Club statement on the recruitment process
William it's not even pre season. No city football interest or transfer rumours.
The club have no manager and haven't for what feels like most of the last year.
What do you want people to be discussing on a Cardiff city forum?

The last six months have been a fracking disaster. They stuck with Riza and missed out on fifteen or more decent Managers, got relegated, and waited another seven weeks to appoint an inexperienced academy coach. It's ridiculous, fingers crossed we get lucky and he is one of the 10% of gambles that come good.
I wish him all the best and will judge him after 10 games, hopefully we get a piss-easy start with fixtures and he and the team get a chance to build some confidence and positive momentum.

You can have an opinion on anything you like. Opinions are like arseholes. Everybody has one.
But do you not think banging on and on and on about how badly the club is being run gets a tad boring and mundane after so long. If the majority of the Cardiff City supporters, and I use the word supporters, as I’m referring to the folk that actually go to games, and not just watch from their sofa, are as unhappy with things as they are, why not have the balls to actually try to do something about it??
Like totally boycott games by going to the CCS every home game, but not going into the ground itself and protesting outside peacefully for the duration of the game that we want Tan and the board out. That would soon gather a momentum of coverage everywhere.. personally I would be up for that kind of protest.
But my guess is, the majority of the supporters that go can’t be arsed to do something like that, and just like the majority on this board will just carry on moaning and groaning about it.
If the new manager gets off to a good start and we have a successful season, all the moaning and groaning about Tan and the board will disappear till the next bad period. That’s the fickleness of football supporters world wide.
Ps, my credentials in boxing and my amateur experience would probably mean that at the age of 61, I’d still be able to hit you so hard, it would disturb a couple of your ancestors 😂

I'm not paid 500k a year though, like some of our Directors are. I'd also do a better job, as like Bob says, I'd get people who know what they were doing to run the club.

So let’s all try do something about it instead of whining on here. We don’t need to be £500 a yr directors to do that do we?
