While Murphy is primarily a surname of Irish origin, it is also used as a given name, including in Christian contexts. It is not specifically a Christian name, but it is a common name used by Christians and those of other or no religious affiliations. The name comes from the Irish surname Ó Murchadha, meaning "descendant of Murchadh," which itself is derived from the Gaelic name Murchadh, meaning "sea warrior".

Worrying.
Re: Reasons to be excited?
I'm excited as the optimist in me believes BBM will be a shrewd appointment (based solely on what I have seen written).
The realist in me is concerned is nothing has changed at the club structurally, the same mistakes are therefore likely to be repeated, and there's a very real possibility that our very inexperienced new manager has us playing out from the back with League one standard defenders and no real leaders.
Plenty of time between now and the start of the season so let's hope there are some interesting signings on the way.

A month before our first game. Would be nice to get rid of a few players that aren’t up for the fight but primarily get some new blood in that is! I’m getting more concerned as each day passes.
